Darren was ahead pretty much for only two games...
the very first one and the very last one. Weird.

They play so close that anyone getting 7-ahead seems impossible.
Like someone just has to go into give-up mode and want the set to be over.

For 10k a man nobody is giving up.

Didnt see stream. How bad is the table rolling off? So many "table mechanics" don't relevel table before reclothing. Then with new cloth any out of level areas are accentuated. Less qualified mechanics aroynd know how to level a 3 piece slate table, a dying art.

At least one slow roll from the head rail to the pocket rolled off by half a ball, is my guess.
Chip was stuck to the head rail, gently rolled up on a ball near darren's hole, and it drifted
enough that he whiffed the ball entirely and the cue ball went straight into the hole.

A few times the announcers hinted that Chip had the better pocket and it was
swallowing up long banks better than Darren's. But Darren's took plenty
and I think Chip just hit them better. The fact that chip's scratch happened
on darren's hole means there's a lean towards the long rail.
That's what you want, right? So I think Darren's pocket is no worse than Chip's.

But, I would not want to play for 10k on a crooked table.

Creedo,

When did this happen to chip? I fell asleep around 11:30-12:00.

Good analysis though!

The table has some lean to it. I'm from there and used to play on it but now they got two 9-foot diamonds so I don't mess with it anymore

That table was modified and made very tight for One Pocket only.

It was moved a couple of weeks ago for the new Diamonds.

Maybe Paul Dodge should give it a leveling job before the match today. He was there last night.

Thats the way i like it to roll in my hole. It also makes it a ton easier to hold the rock on the cross corners when the object ball rolls down hill towards your hole. . JMO

The table did have a slight lean at one time. That has been repaired.

There are many factors that can cause a ball to roll off. piece of chalk, lint on the table etc. It sure doesn't take much for you to stop playing on a table. Funny comment, and I don't mean humorous.

I'm not from here but I know what the players are saying. They are saying the table plays good. Fair.

More mis-information. This table was NOT moved. It's right where it has been sitting for the last several years.

It's not a bad table but it has a lean. I just prefer the diamonds their for onepocket. But I do play on that table too.

It HAD a lean the last time you played on it. You said in your earlier post that you used to play on it.

The table plays good. As mentioned earlier, the players practiced on it and agreed to play on it saying it played good.

I stand corrected as the table has been redone in quite a few ways. And I went and played on it today and it played great!!!!

Just a quick Note. The table was refelted about 3 weeks ago leveled and completely redone. My Table mechanic does a wonderful Job. When Diamond delivered my tables three of they're mechanics were on site and one of my customers said the same statement that the table rolled off. All 3 Diamond mechanics checked the table and I Quote them "This table is Perfectly Level and Plays great! This is one of the Best tables I have seen" that was from 3 different Diamond Table mechanic who checked with theyre machinest levels.
Darren and Chip / Jeremy Jones and Scott Rabon all Said the table plays great. Sometimes chalk etc can cause a ball to roll off.

Well, it's possible that one rough roll that happened to chip was chalk or something.
(forgot when it was dynamo... maybe after 6 games or so?)

There was one shot where darren was running out, and his ball hit a big chalk chunk
and suddenly stopped dead and then rocked backwards a bit.
Might need some chalk-off.
