Well... finally bought two quality cues

Last night, I picked up a Kaiser playing cue and a JJ jump/break...

I am in love with these cues!!! I know its not the same league as Predator or Meucci, but I needed something better than the graphite cue I was using before.

The break cue however, makes my breaks absolutely SICK. I played in a weekly 8 ball tournament last night, and made a ball on the break every time I had the snap...

Still learning how to jump though... I prefer kicking.

Guess you somewhat CAN buy your game....lol

You made a couple of good choices
Those J&J jump/breaks are a great deal, there's been a lot of good comments on them over the years.

Congratulations on your new acquisitions. All that matters at the end of the day is how well you like and play with a cue, not its price tag. Careful though, searching for the next cue to surpass you last can become an addiction! Also, there is what is often called "new cue-itus" or "new cue syndrome" where you tend to love and play fantastic with a new cue for a few weeks until the newness wears off. Happens to most people at least from time to time and is most likely because since it is new you are paying much more attention to everything which is essentially increased focus and increased focus always raises one's game. Probably not the case here though and I'm sure you will enjoy them for a long time to come! I have no first hand knowledge of Kaiser cues but the J&J are good for the money. The ones I have tried didn't jump the best but they broke pretty good and overall are a great value.

Thanks. Glad I didn't make an ass of myself with this purchase...lol

Those cues are in no sense worse than the ''Predator or Meucci'' 's. The jump/break will last forever for you if you like it, and a Kaiser can be very nice player, unless you'd at some point like to go with a low squirt shaft, but that's about personal preferences.

Good purchases :thumbup2:

Kaiser

I have hit balls with a Kaiser and really liked the way it played. The one I hit looked like a SW. I think you will enjoy playing now a lot better.

Not a single thing wrong with your recent pick-ups.

I've owned two Kaiser cues. One was not so wonderful...and fell apart on me. The other, though.....I thought was AWESOME. Same as another poster - was a SW look-alike cue...and played pretty sporty. The wrap was done very well, and it was straight as an arrow. I was really impressed.

End of the day - if YOU are happy with what you've got, then you're good to go!!

Congrats, and enjoy!

nothing like having a great experience with a new purchase huh dude! :)

My go to player is a J&J with an OB1 shaft. I got them on special at the J&J america site.

One thing I have learned over the years is price sometimes has no bearing on the hit, playability, and finish of a great playing cue!

have fun man!

I've never tried kaiser cues but j&j's jump break is a ridiculous bargain of a cue. I've used better for breaking but for jumping its almost as good as my jacoby. Overall for a 60 dollar jump break cue you didn't go wrong. I've used more expensive ones that broke lights out but I could'my get the cue ballup high enough to clear an obstructing ball. One thing you'll learn about it if you haven't yet is before each use check the joints, they work themselves loose from time to time.
