Alex is gonna have a tough time against Rhys Clarke next round. This guy owns centuries. I hope he pulls off the win.

Different Rhys Clark. Melling defeated the guy you're talking about that owns centuries 4-3 last round. He did put a century up on Melling though.

Alex is having trouble with a wet bridge hand.
WTH, he's played in the Philippines.

I don't think they would welcome talc over there.....
....any suggestions other than a new glove?

no that guy was eliminated.
This is Jamie Rhys Clark, and hes not thru yet....

PS - pls dont upload images unless necessary. i got a slow connection takes long to download
just post the link..

how about small amounts of non talc but regular powder?
i wonder if alex is using a looped bridge playing snooker?
with the open bridge the damp part of the hand never touches the cue...

Wow I hope they both make it.

Getting into the main tour as a pro will surely profit them more while being one of the weaker players on snooker tour compared to being one of the best players in pool.

Edit: Did a bit of research. The legendary Jimmy White who was ranked 64th on the main tour during the 13/14 season, earned 48,692 pounds or 81,700 US dollars.

The top 10 players in pool made an avereage of 92,000 US dollars. Shane made 153K and Alex(10th on the list) made 62K.

And that is not very accurate because I am pretty sure the AZ money list just adds the prize money the pool players made, it doesnt keep count of the buy-ins, right?
There are no buy-ins at the snooker main tour, so the 64th ranked player in snooker made almost 82K pure profit, you only have to count in travel expenses, etc.

That would be two year earnings. So he is actually averaging 40,000 per year, which still isn't too bad for his ranking. Jimmy probably has it better than most as I'm sure he has sponsors covering some of his expenses.

That said, I believe all of the qualifiers are held in the UK, so I don't think travel expenses are too bad for players who fail to qualify for events. I mean, it's far better than having to travel to India or Australia and lose your first match.
