Play a safety off the head ball. Knock both balls to your side of the table and leave the cueball near his corner.

Nice hit but I've seen Grady miscue trying that shot and Richie Richeson draw straight back into the corner pocket attempting it.
It may be fun for hoo-hahs but anything more serious takes stones to shoot it.

On some soft-rubbered Gold Crowns, I've made the head ball AND the
double bank.
For me it depends on the equipment, score, ball count and what is on the line whether I will shoot it or not. One time I made both balls and drew whitey in the corner, haha.
Most pros will shoot from their side of the table , shoot towards the opposite side across the head ball with a little english, hit the head ball and let the CB go to the side rail and then to the back rail and stay there. Don't know if how I explained it correctly so one my understand. Perhaps Lenny would be so kind to draw this up, I know he knows the shot.---Smitty
And that's what I'll usually play. If you can draw your cue ball straight back from the first ball there is no kiss, the leave is safe and you end up with two balls in front of your pocket. The hard part is getting the balls spotted straight and frozen. And you have to know where to place the cue ball.
