Alex Pagulayan going to UK to try pro snooker

The ability of some posters to work out time zones around the world does not really surprise me. Few years ago a well known US pro player turned up late for the World Pool Championship in Cardiff with the belief that the time on his watch was the same all over the world.
Fortunately he made the deadline with minutes to spare. But he thought he was five hours early.
So the World Snooker 1.00pm match times are
In the UK = 1.00pm In most of Europe that is 2.00pm
In Eastern USA in will be 8.00am In central USA it will be 7.00 am
In Western USA it will only be 5.00am (or 2900pm for night owls}

Mark Selby looked an unlikely world champion when myself and some other members of the travelling snooker circuit found him at 1am in a hotel lobby in Shanghai in 2002 trying to arrange transport to the venue. When we asked him why, he replied he was playing at 2.30 – in the afternoon. So jet-lagged was he that he failed to realise it was actually night.

Ive personally known some Americans that never got a passport or left their home state....and before 9/11 there were stories floating around about some that managed to go up to Canada ,without realizing that they left their country- but that post is truly unbelievable:confused:

(I still think that snooker.org should post the times in the local time zone.....)

You must be kidding- we have four time zones in the USA-Any well known pro would have traveled through them multiple times, not to mention he didnt notice it was getting pitch dark at 3 PM and the sun was rising at 130 am? I dont think anyone that 'learning disabled' could find his way to Cardiff.

Im no snooker expert but i'd say he is is the 140-100 underdog, maybe higher. Maybe some UK lads can give a better opinion. I looked for betting lines on it and couldnt find any. Again maybe some help from the Euro folks?

Alex had a 37 break, but he may have missed, because Tomlinson is on a roll now. Tomlinson is making a few and playing safe, trying to get back in it. Alex hasn't made a point since his initial break of 37.
