I don't know exactly what to call these tournaments but I heard about them last night.
It involves giving the lesser players, well for a lack of a better set of words, LOSS CHIPS, but their not really chips, but the way I have heard it, a lesser player might start the tournament with the equivalent of 5 losses, which means that they get to lose 5 times before they are out of the tournament. A better player might be given say, 2 losses and if he loses two matches, he goes home and is out of the tournament. Last person standing wins it.
I don't know much more than this. But if any of you have heard about these type of events, I would love to learn more about the details. It sounds like lesser players get a chance to play more matches in an event like this than in other open events. I know it sucks to go two and out like I did last night.
