A Letter from Mike Dechaine

Yeah if he keeps coaching the US like this we may someday be able to field a winning team. Sadly it isn't this year.

You guys would make great Kool Aid testers at Jonestown.

And if Mike was on the team this year, we still wouldn't win.

Next year man, keep winning tournaments and make them regret their decision.

There not regretting! Mark is already coaching Mike! It's too bad most can't see:( we live in a primitive world, it's sad how blind some can be when they can't see or admit the obvious!

I think most guys here are twice your age-Mike

You have yrs to play and great tournaments coming. Put your Rep above all !! Look what Earl did. If when your eyes get weak, and your stroke fails- the business end will Profit more than any sponsorship. Mike Dechaine Billiards, I think John Schmidt is doing better . Archer does both ,just a thought. . and Thorsten in mpls. mark-

In order for a Mike Dechaine Billiards to happen, he better truly want to change his attitude for the better;) or, he better start praying that burger king gets that $15 an hr increase by our fearless leader:):) oh yeah, they realized that wouldn't work, lol! Better make the change Mike;) lol

Mike D. is displaying outside-of-the-box maturity in how he's handling this, and I say all the power to Mike. I really do think he learned something from this (isn't that the point? Funny how Mark's actions accomplished exactly what he set out to do...), and we'll see Mike D. on next year's team!

This is one of the most ignorant and condescending things I have ever read. You speak to MD as though was a spanked child.

I just want to make sure I have this right.

We have a top pro player who came on here, laid it bare for all to see; said being excluded from MC consideration stung and admitted he has some things to work on, and you respond with:

Mike better change or he should start praying for a Burger King salary increase?

JAM and a few others used to comment a lot about how the az haters would make it futile for pros to come on here to share their thoughts.

I now get what they meant.

best,

I agree wholeheartedly, Brian. The Chicken Littles are out in full force here on AZB.

Yep, I think some people aren't happy that the pros don't post on here & they're not happy when the pros do post on here. I just don't get it.......

no sh*t.

good God - it must be Friday & a full moon, again.

the #2 Topic On The Table with Scott Lee while he was here, was MARK WILSON/MOSCONI/DECHAINE. which ultimately led to solving, The Future of Pool.

i do think, that we were all in agreement, that: it's all, in how you "work it". business, is business. and image, can be EVERYthing. sorry - COSTLY. some learn/change, and some....

Yes, that is my response! What you and many others are failing to see is that no one is really doubting Mike's ability! Mike is awesome!!!!!! I will be the first to say that! He did some shots on my table that I thought were humanly impossible! That being said, I'm not talking about his performance on the table, his record speaks for itself! BUT,,,, his attitude also speaks for itself!!

I understand everyone's point, but if people think he can come on az and write a few words and that is supposed to make it all better,,,, I don't think so!

Please understand, I want him to succeed, but be a true champion! Didn't somebody ask him how did he feel to be the most loathed player??? Do you think there was something to that question?

If I could play God for a moment, I would take Mike dechaines ability and take Tommy dalfonso's personality and put them together! And what would I get top 5 player in the world, hands down!

Now, the burger king thing, I'm sorry about that,,,, they make more money;) it's sad this sport is in the state that it's in, this is why most of the players are practically homeless! Unless your lucky like some pros to be sponsored and have someone pay for room and board, unfortunately, this is the life they choose!

Simply amazing

This starts as a great, positive post from a professional player. Whether you like Mike or not, this is simply a positive direction/high road, etc. Then it takes a turn to keyboard kowards, grammar police and the chubby kid in the neighborhood whose dad was a golden glove boxer mentality, “oh yeah, wanna bet 500, no? how about 1000?”

Good grief – all the negativity is tiresome. If I was Mike, I’d find it pretty darn tough to return here again whether it to be discussing what chalk to use or commenting on what he’s doing to be better at this game.

I do like Mike’s game and root for him even though I understand and agree with the selection process for this MC.

I don’t think anyone can or should question his game, but there are so many that question his maturity.

Mike is far more mature in doing something he DID NOT NEED TO DO. I wish many that have posted after would show a sliver of that maturity.

Stop korrecting grammar, hiding behind your keyboard and put your mythical money back in your pocket if you have any in the sweatpants you’re wearing.

Best of luck Mike in everything you do.

that's nice of you to speak on his behalf

Thanks, but I was just speaking for myself.

You chastised MD for making this all about himself and not congratulating the players who were selected or wishing them good luck.

I simply let you know that he already did that.
