Hightower belt

So my belt broke on the power feed on my Hightower deluxe and it's Friday. ..... checked the local grainger and another place but to no avail.... Then a thought popped into my head..... I found the correct size hanging on the wall at the vacuum cleaner parts store..... The belt for a hoover fits. It's a 2L150....

Hey Kim,

It is all about being resourceful as they say.

If DPK can build a hand pantograph machine out of dishwasher parts, doing a belt change on a cue lathe from a vacuum cleaner makes sense to me. LOL

A 2L150 is one inch longer than the 2L140 Deluxe belt. Your set up has the adjustment to make it barely work. But the AC motor machines will not have that adjustment without drilling new mounting holes for the motor.

You are right Chris........ but then I ask my self.... why don't I have spare for a belt that is over 3 years old????
