On AZ, I've seen people blame their game on chalk, aiming systems (or lack of), balls, and anything imaginable.

In 1974, Mark Jones lost the use of his legs from an automobile accident. At a low point in his life, he didn't want to continue living in this condition. He even thought about putting a bullet through his head. He persevered and has been invited to four World Wheelchair 9-Ball championships.

Blaming one's game on other than one's own lack of effort and focus is a shame.
Anything is possible if one puts his/her mind to task!

I have had the pleasure of refereeing a couple of their tournaments locally.

Many of these guys can really play.

Some may know Aaron Aaragon...playing against Luat and others.

A bit unrelated, but I accidentally ran into one of the top wheelchair players in the world back when I was not aware of the overall pool scene.

I was in Sweden for business and a few co-workes (who were German) wanted to head out and do something, so I suggested we find a pool hall.

Had to pay a membership fee to get in, there was a woman there being coached by a guy in a wheelchair. She was using a very fancy looking McDermott cue and I asked to see it. She said it belong to the world champion. The guy in the wheelchair was doing an exhibition for some business people, nothing fancy but was shooting well.

About 2-3 weeks after that, I was watching the wheelchair championship on ESPN and there was the guy I ran into in Sweden playing in the finals. Pretty big coincidence running into a guy in a pool room 3,700 miles from my house and seeing him on TV just weeks later. .
