Sky vs. Jesse

Sky is within 5 racks now...

95-78...

I think my estimate a little earlier of Sky winning by 20 games is gonna be almost dead on...

This match has showed me I know nothing about matching others up, maybe not even myself by my win, loss record in the last couple of years. A year ago, I would have thought this kid would have been the underdog to Jesse getting the 7 ball. When he beat Joey Grey a while back, I was more than a little surprised. People should be finding out how this kid made such a jump. He could make a fortune selling that information! I know Tracy told me he had him on the road and made him play tough action and I'm sure that's part of it, but there has to be more to it. Bergman told me the kid loves pool more than anything and want's to hit balls every waken hour, which is what it takes to play at a high level. Still, I have never seen anyone make a jump like this kid has, in such a short time.

Now bring on the 20 people better than Sky. Its always amazing to watch haters not give the young guys any credit. That's okay because they have been giving CASH for the last year and sooner or later people will realize that Sky and some of the youngsters can play with the best. Anybody that thinks they can run over Sky just come to Ky. and you can get all the action you want. Oh by the way...he will travel also and pick up cheese as far as Wisconsin.

Its nice to see a young champion who is a great kid too. Compare that to how the "old guard" acts.

I guess I am just a bigger fan of these "young guns" and their great attitudes.

Congrats to Sky, and to Jesse as well. Both champions.

If I was in the billiards business, I would snatch Skyler up as my players representative and put him in a long term contract where nobody else could get him.

Skylar is the real deal folks. What a finish. Nobody coming up has the potential this man has. As others have said he is very soft spoken and let's his game speak for him. The Sky is the limit for him.

Got to meet you sometime. Your post always make sense and you know how to say the nicest things about the players and the pool game. Thanks for saying intelligent things and promoting the sport. Don't know how good pool player you are but a great ambassador for pool

I think JJ might just be the best commentator there is. He really gets into the subtleties of the game. Awesome amount of knowledge.

I've been saying for years that Jeremy Jones is the best commentator there is IMO. His color commentary perhaps isn't quite as good as some in terms of excitement level or good stories and such, but his insights and knowledge based commentary surpass them all and it is even more true and noticeable in games like one pocket.

How does Sky do on the big tables? Everything I've seen (on youtube and live streams) has been bar tables

I'm a little surprised that Skyler (Skylar?) wasn't chosen as one of the Mosconi 8. He seems to fit into the young group.

At the Derby City bank pool ring game a few months ago, Woodward (and Bustamante!) played at a level that absolutely amazed a pretty experienced observer -- Freddie the Beard.

Thanks for the comment, but you flatter me too much. :embarrassed2:

I honestly am excited to see these young players, how they interact with fans.

Watch the previous years Mosconi Cups and see how the USA players have embarrassed us and themselves.

Now, think of Landon, Jesse, Skyler, and many other young players. Win or lose, they will represent us and make us proud. I hope young Skyler wins himself a spot on the team.

Best of rolls to all,
