Ron,
I feel as you do.....if I have to be concerned about whether or not I have a fair shot at winning or have any "mistrust" or doubts" about how the drawing may get done, then I joined the buyers group for the wrong reasons. Dean Campbell is one of the most honest persons I know.......Jerry Rauenzahn is my cue-maker.....and yours as well..... and he's going to make a cue for the drawing and doesn't care whom the cue goes to. His sole mission is making the cue the way you want it.
I do not like the break the rack thing.....I know it's random and thanks for being creative.....but let's not let this become a debate.....besides only ten people have a say in what happens anyway. I vote to let Jerry and Dean figure out what they want to do, how they want to do it and then just do it.....then announce whom the winner is........I don't need video evidence of the actual drawing or harbor any reservations about how the drawing will be performed.
I can't speak for the other nine buyers but I didn't get in on this project to try and win a cue. It was to have Jerry build me the most handsome cue possible......just did this with Bob Owen and it was a fun experience......the free cue is an afterthought.........so I say just let Dean or Jerry pick the winning number any way they like and come back and let us know......it's time to make some more Bushkas.
Sorry that Nick narrowly missed out being #10. He would have been a great addition and undoubtedly had a fabulous cue design in mind too. So unless the other nine.....and no one else's opinion matters on this.....have something in mind for the drawing, I suggest giving it a week's rest so all the deposits reach Jerry and say on 4th of July weekend, Jerry or Dean can do the drawing.......or both.......but let's forget the break the rack notion to decide the winner.
Dr. Gonzo, and JonTravis Taylor and Bavafongoul (3 of the 10 buyers) vote to let Jerry & Dean do the drawing any way they like and then just announce the winner. There are only seven other Azers that have any vote on how this gets done.......those are the only opinions that really matter about the cue drawing. So if we can get a few more buyers to post agreement, well, only 3 more buyers is needed for a majority opinion and let's be clear about this........"Only the 10 buyers have any say whatsoever in how the drawing is performed."

p.s. As of 9:15 pm, Dr. Gonzo, skins & dvs posted they also concur about Jerry & Dean doing it any way they like....the buyer vote is already 6 out of 10.
