Until I played with this one. Josswest Sideways BEM from 1983. Previous owner Paul here on azb who became a good friend of mine. He has been offering this cue on deals we've made for me to try but knowing its a SS joint and small pin, I have passed on it a couple of times. But at the back of my mind, I haven't tried an old school top tier cuemaker and I shouldn't have been passing on this one. Until I saw him post it on azb at for sale/trade section. I'm saying to myself, Paul has high regards for the cue, he had it for over 30 years, have it refinish 12 years ago and got 2 new shafts for it, so this cue is something special. I contacted Paul again, and since we have dealt a couple of times, he assured me for any reason I don't like it, send t back no questions ask, or he would even shipped it to me without paying and just deal with it after with what I want to do. A little history comes by it. Paul bought in 1983 at the Sidd Man's River City Open, beside him was Keith McCready ordering a cue from Mr Stroud. Larry Hubbart won the tourney participated by some Hall of Famers like Sigel, Masse, Hall, Mizerak, Hopkins, etc. Anyways, cue is in mint condition, dead straight together and apart, 19.15 oz, 19 in balance point, 4 oz shafts, ivory ferrule, flawless, one shaft lightly played other one unchalked, all original even the French Chandivert tips. I would descriptionbe the hits as vibrant, crisp with a lot of feedback and moves the cue ball effortlessly. I know in a way this brought a tear in your eye buddy when you were packing it, but this will stay with me, unless you wanted it back. I can't thank you enough...so much for the introduction...Enjoy the picture guys...

I'd love to see a white with green speck cortland wrap on this cue. What a great, solid playing cue. Nice pickup.

Love that! I've been thinking about trying to get my hands on a plain Jane birdseye player with a 5/16x14 SS joint. Should you decide to part with it for any reason, let me know ;)
