does anyone know this guy? I just paid him for a OB cue but never got a reply back from him so I'm pretty sure I'm getting screw on this deal.I think the picture of himself is the one in his avatar.Oh well...just be really careful you ever gonna deal with him

How long since you paid? If not that long I'd be inclined to give the benefit of the doubt- things come up, and there's been a holiday. If it's been say 10 days or longer, you've probably been screwed. Have you tried a charge back through PayPal. I've never tried this with a 'gift', but I've heard that if the money hasn't been withdrawn from the seller's account you can do this. If the money has been withdrawn, I would also suspect something fishy.

I'm pretty sure i got screw on this and I gift paypal him cause of his itrader with respective azer but oh well lesson learn and I'll prob donate the money to the temple if I ever get it back

I looked at the for sale thread, you bought the thing today. Maybe the guy works and does not check the forums all day.
And I have to say 80 posts with a 3 or 4 itrader does not quite make an trusted member quite yet in my eyes. I don't think I'd send anyone a gift in PayPal unless I knew them personally or have done several deals with them already.

"I" traider is usually good indicator. Keep us posted

No way I'd be "gifting" a payment to anyone with that few I-Trades.

He was on late last night and probably read this.

If I saw this I would dump you for being a nit.

oh yea he saw it but I still haven't got my cue, cash or tracking number and he even change his avatar now cause I believe it was his picture before but now it's the baseball card but luckily I save his old avatar cause I ain't getting rob that easy

Hasn't been very long for this sort of reaction in my opinion. Most folks take a day or two to get things packed up and shipped. I will note that it's a little ironic, that the advertised cue is laying on a legal notice in the original ad. Sort of a "hey, I have legal issues, and a case pending" staring you right in the face.

The post by aqua man is the cause for alarm. Not an over reaction. Pooky says money sent and deal confirmed/sold. Then a post saying money on the way from aqua man several hours later???

Aqua man ain't saying a word and has no concerns about Pooky's post and I don't understand why???

The legal notice under the cue could be anything and for anyone. No way to know it is relevant! Could belong to someone else or taken at a friends house. Anything could explain it away.

So, I have a question. When people I know send me money via PayPal there was an actual process for me to receive the money. PayPal sends me a message that indicates I have money ready for transfer and I have to accept it.. I am not the expert, but is this not the case with a "gift"?

If a gift does require accepting, then it would be very suspicious if a seller accepted a payment when the cue was already sold to someone else. (again, I am not the expert on PayPal transactions).

However, my sense is the seller is above board and all will turn out OK.. I would hate to think of someone doing a dirty deal for a lousy 200 to only be kicked off the boards, and considering the volume of selling he does on this site, do not believe there is any foul play here. (I hope)

I'm not quite sure I get this. If every sale here had the buyer panicking after two days, the entire forum would only be threads like this. I'm not saying you don't have reason for concern but with all due respect, this cue only went up for sale 2 days ago. No question, I personally expect better communications and follow up. No question, it could very well be that you got screwed here. But with all due respect, give the Seller the benefit of the doubt and give it a couple of days.

You voice concern over the other post in the FS thread where another member said they were buying? So? You wouldn't believe how many people say they're going to buy your FS item and then don't. When I sell something, it's not sold until I receive payment. Were I to receive two payments, I'd immediately refund the second one and if fees were incurred, I'd refund them as well.

You keep saying the $200 is no big deal. Well, your actions don't match your words.

ok this OP really needs to calm down, it's only been two days, this post should be made if it's been a few weeks or somethin extreme like that, you're over reacting big time, life happens, just wait a little, no need to blow up the seller's for sale thread and now start a new pointless thread if it was "only $200"
i'm sure the seller's on the up and up and he wouldn't risk his reputation for 200 bucks
the OP however is jumping the gun and when he gets the tracking info and the cue in a few days this thread will still be up and it's hurtful to the seller's rep even tho it's pointless and rushed, have some patience
i've had sales that take me a few days, i usually communicate it but everyone forgets sometimes, thank god i've never had someone blow up like you're doing, and i've never blown up even if it took the seller 3 or 4 days to get back online, everyone has lives outside of this forum
and as many REAL bad deal threads as there are out there, you should know better than to gift someone you don't know or have never had dealings with

This thread wasn't started due to panic or an overreaction, it was started because of the glaring difference in communication from the seller, before & after the Paypal payment from pook.
Maybe the lack of communication by the seller is just a coincidence, but it is reason for concern.

Granted, red flag, but way to early to start a thread. He started the thread less than 48 hours of paying.
