There is no rule that needs to be in place. Someone has to advance from part one period.
No they don't that's what bye's are for, unless someones trying to manipulate the outcome.

Why did ralf forfeit again?
Why did ralf forfeit again?
I just heard that they are moving the final to the Tar studio and it is now a race to100![]()
Why did ralf forfeit again?
He had such faith in his skills at the table that he booked his flight to take off before the event was even over. Which is idiotic, but it IS his right to forfeit the match and the money. It was NOT CSI's right to screw with the rules and put in a guy who had already lost out of the event against a guy who in NO WAY should have had to play him.
And he couldn't change his flight?
You don't see that anywhere, because it's wrong.
Ko should refuse to play.
Plus I can't believe Souquet can't find anther flight to Beijing
they don't start till the 28th.
The other tournament doesn't start till the 28th.
Well, in this occasion Dennis Orcullo would have catched the place of Ko – right???
If that was Ralfs spot then it means that he advanced. What if he showed up, lagged then quit? With this kind of ruling it allows for players to rig the brackets. Not implying that they would but its possible. UNLESS the rule was already in place. In a single elimination format, if one forfeited does it mean the previous loser gets to advance?

Just got back to this. Why does that look like Bill Dunsmore with Kenny?

Chicken Man IS there.
This forum is filled with the biggest bunch of cry babies. Holy hell do you guys have nothing better to do with your lives than to sit around and cry and whine? This forum has turned into a damn soap opera.
If Ralf showed up, lagged and then quit Ko would have advance to the finals. But Ralf wouldn't pull a dick move like that. Ralf might get in a fender bender, of poorly schedule his travel itinerary but he wouldn't intentionally lag and quit.
What really happened was Shane became eligible to advance out of his group in the RR with the second best record.
