CSI INVITATIONAL 8-BALL (July 23-25, 2014) 16 Players (Winner $8K/ Runner up $5K)

Why did ralf forfeit again?

He had such faith in his skills at the table that he booked his flight to take off before the event was even over. Which is idiotic, but it IS his right to forfeit the match and the money. It was NOT CSI's right to screw with the rules and put in a guy who had already lost out of the event against a guy who in NO WAY should have had to play him.

I was criticized a couple months back when I spoke out about how CSI does things
None of this surprises me

And he couldn't change his flight?

If that was Ralfs spot then it means that he advanced. What if he showed up, lagged then quit? With this kind of ruling it allows for players to rig the brackets. Not implying that they would but its possible. UNLESS the rule was already in place. In a single elimination format, if one forfeited does it mean the previous loser gets to advance?

You don't see that anywhere, because it's wrong.
Ko should refuse to play.

Plus I can't believe Souquet can't find anther flight to Beijing
they don't start till the 28th.

Its already 10AM on the 26th in China -14 hr flight or something also if its direct

 Well, in this occasion Dennis Orcullo would have catched the place of Ko – right???

Its a little disappointing to have some of the worlds best players playing in such a beautiful venue to have a tournament run this way. Dozen of times tables are waiting to rack because there was only one ref. On top of that I have seen some of the refs to be playing on their phone, put the phone down on the table then rack.

Of coarse not, this was totally unfair.

This forum is filled with the biggest bunch of cry babies. Holy hell do you guys have nothing better to do with your lives than to sit around and cry and whine? This forum has turned into a damn soap opera.

If Ralf showed up, lagged and then quit Ko would have advance to the finals. But Ralf wouldn't pull a dick move like that. Ralf might get in a fender bender, of poorly schedule his travel itinerary but he wouldn't intentionally lag and quit.

What really happened was Shane became eligible to advance out of his group in the RR with the second best record.

Whatever. We are all fans of pool and CSI, one of the biggest promoters in the game just lost 100% of their credibility with this move and made their own event and this sport into nothing but a farce.

This forum is a soap opera? The whole tournament just became nothing more then a "show", just ask Ozzy, that is all he wanted, a show.

Once you're out you can't become eligible, because your out.
What if you bet 5k on Ko Pin Yi to win the tournament
would you be singing the same tune then, I doubt it.
