Gus, George, and a couple Skip's. The Balabushka was made in 1968, Larry Ross used to own it. No dings or nicks. The wrap fell apart from being tucked under a bed in a Fellini cue case for 30 years. Should Pete refinish it?. Enjoy.

Is the "George" the one with the frayed wrap?... If so it sure looks like a Gus blank and the sleeve looks too long... Are you sure it's not a a Gus or maybe you have the wrong year of 68'.. I don't think George was using Gus's blanks till 72'....

It could have been early 70's, way back when, lol. Thank you.

Just rewrap it, and buff it a little IMO. The Weston tribute is smokin. The man builds the best Balabushka tribute cues.

Sounds great, thank you guys. It might be easier to just sell it,lol.

Easy

Gus or Spain, not sure which. Should Pete refinish it, or leave it?.

Leave it. Any thing you do will decrease it's value. But if you are going to use it. It would be best to refinish it. That would keep it from falling to pieces and seal everything up nice.If it is straight now finish could bow it. Rewrap would seal the handle. Document everything with pictures. Handle half rewrapped ect.
Or----------------
Put it in a glass case!

Rewrap by Tascarella with original Cortland would be a good idea
I doubt the rewrap would hurt the value, and it should be worth a little more with a wrap that is intact.

Great set.....

What a super nice trio beautiful, Congrats Rod.... Enjoy them...
