Brazilian Ivory & Gold Schick

From what I gather from corresponding with Bill Schick, he only built maybe a handful of BR cues in the 80's and 90's because as he said all of the good BR was gone and all that was left was low quality stuff. Those cues would have been 4 pointers with veneers and that a full front BR would have been VERY rare.. so this could possibly be the ONLY full front BR cue Bill has ever made....

Anyone have any pictures of any others??

Now I'm REALLY jealous.

Mine is one of the rosewood 4-pointers, not the full BR forearm like yours. Bill told me that by 1993 (the date of my cue), he had only made about a dozen rosewood cues because everybody wanted ebony. Bill did not say which species of rosewood was used on my cue. I've been told that the mineral deposits on mine suggest Brazilian, but the wood grain seems different than I would have expected. Doesn't really matter to me. It's a great cue no matter what.

Two words, or just three letters, WOW. Everything about this cue is stunning. Thank you for sharing it.

Thanks! Congrats on your "Dream" too!

I'm still looking at the inlay work on this and am just blown away by the hand prep work for the inlays that had to be done and done so well... I'm a guy who LOVES "fancy" and though this cue isn't as overloaded with work, I'm glad I got it after the fact or I might have crowded the cue with inlays and that would have taken away from some of the most beautiful Brazilian Rosewood I have ever seen... Lot's of dark wide stripe grain and curl...It's truly spectacular

Please know, I would NEVER make fun of you. I enjoy your post quite a bit.

I do poke fun, however, at the majority of other people who participate in these threads who feel that responses like yours are ALL that is welcome. You typically post "Nice cue" or "Very pretty", etc.,. etc.. Nothing but praise. And that's great! But when someone says something negative about a cue, those kinds of opinions don't seem to be welcome. I personally feel ALL feedback should be welcomed but sadly, its not. Only praise is welcomed by most around here.

I apologize if you felt I was mocking you. I would never do such a thing (until I've gotten to know you better ).

Regards,
B <---------------- skins, once again "Sweet cue bro"

Still searching for another elusive Brazilian nosed Schick... Anyone? Pics please...

Sorry, I missed this one the first time. This cue is amazing!!

Thanks Jim... Pic's don't do this cue justice... as I've said it's rare enough probably being the only BR nosed cue Bill ever made but the hit/feel of this cue is at the highest tier...

I completely agree. Bill is an artist.
