In the last 4 or 5 days The NPR section has been pulling more viewers then the main forum section.
At times the NPR had hundreds of more viewers then the main forum.

Do the math, :killingme: you guys are like watching paint dry

Lot of nut jobs on there. They will post 30 times to the same thread making the same point over and over. The quality of the postings between the main and NPR is not even close. The main is actually readable. Many of the posters on the NPR never post on the main forum, who knows if they even play pool.

Watch what happens with this thread once the nut jobs on NPR get wind of it.

Could this mean the apocalypse is coming?

Speaking of NPR, I think your post belongs there.

Mike, there were actually more viewers of NPR than the rest of the sub forums combined yesterday. It was up to 800. I get bored with the Main sometimes and gander over to NPR.

As far as quality of posts go........the quality is in NPR. There are some very intellectual people there that they share their knowledge and it's very much appreciated. If you get bored in the Main come on over to NPR. All are welcome.

I went to NPR section, quickly left.

The Main is for pool. I would rather speak/read pool related topics and forget about all the BS in the world.

Go spend your time there, and get into disagreements about Obama, food stamps, race relations/wife beatings/abductions/floods/hurricanes/illegal immigration/Etc/etc/etc

well if it is true that NPR section is much more popular in viewership than Main section that is dangerous. Meaning this forum is becoming more of a general forum rather than a niche billiards forum
Which Google search engine will not like- it will be matter of time before search results will be degraded and given lower ranking on Google. So people who search on Google may not find azbilliards pages as they are ranked lower- that means less visitors to azb

Absolutely! What's more interesting than talking/reading about; "What color socks was Efren wearing when he won that tournament?", "What's the best breakfast cereal to eat before playing 10 ball?", "Can I recover my Gold Crown without taking off the old cloth?", or "Can a slide rule help with my aiming?".

Yep, need to keep everything in perspective.

J

Just remember if there is no AZ Billiards, then there is no NPR.
I'm sure the advertisers will be very interested in this, maybe
the NPR fans should make sure to keep this at the top of the
main forum. Great Idea !

P.S., Not to forget NPR is where they dump the trash they no
longer want in the main forum.

You came into NPR and saw all of those examples that you posted, but yet you say you left quickly. I think you stayed for a little while longer than you want us to believe.

There are actually a lot of good down to earth people over there. I consider a few of them friends.

If it's anything like the off topic areas on car guy posting boards, NPR will find itself having newbies posting as elections near. Political operatives from both parties at work. Not that reading any of these arguments on posting boards have ever changed my political beliefs. To me, these boards are kind of like bumper stickers...when you see one, have you ever changed your vote? "OMG! This person is for HOPE AND CHANGE! How could I have been so wrong in my thinking all these years? Guess I'd better see what the Prius dealer will give me on trade for my muscle car too."

OH NO... I guess that I'll just quict wasting my time in the mornings on the "Main Forum" since I'm here about billiards and hang out in NPR (or as I would dub it... "NO POINT READING")... listening to a bunch people spreading propaganda about their own personal beliefs and political agendas (both right and left). Oh and right now... 135 in "Main Forum"... 73 in "NPR". To quote an old adage... "They only come out at night".
In my home there is a policy if you want to shoot in my billiard room... NO RELIGION... NO POLITICS... NO SEX ON THE TABLE... YOU'RE EITHER HERE TO SHOOT POOL (NOT YOUR MOUTH) AND HAVE FUN OR GET OUT.

This site is AZB... "The A To Z Of Billiards And Pool" If you think that NPR is such hot zhit... then go hang out on Face(less)book. Thousands of places there to spew biased opinions without merit and actually get people to agree with you.

This is where we find pool related topics. It is a small forum....just because it is one topic. That's want we want....one topic. NPR topics can be found on other sights, with a much larger audience than the 800 figure mentioned above....I for one don't understand having an NPR discussion forum on a pool site. I wouldn't think to find pool related topics on a site devoted to politics or cash management.

I only started this thread because I was very surprised when I seen the facts.

Million dollar question is why is the Main forum section viewer numbers down ?

I appreciate you guys' advice and thoughts about pool.

Sorry, but I don't give a rat's ass what you think about politics, religion, the economy or just about any non-pool related topic.

When I need to know what my opinion is, I just ask my wife.
