I needed a pc. of old dark brown wood for a set of J/ps . I have a lot of old 1 pc. cue so I picked one where the points were about a inch off , and surprise surprise on what was inside .

Sweet.......how long is the piece? It could make a killer break shaft.
It was nit that long , from the end of points to butt . I could not believe it was P.heart till I cut into it , now I wonder how many of those others are not what they seem to be . jim
You to remember that purple heart is a common,inexpensive, stable wood that has the right weight so it was used a lot in cheap cues.

I will take as many of those that you find! (I'm sure that I am at the end of the line of others that would do the same) I have a use for the ones that are too small for cues.
