My buddy came across a pretty damn sweet It's George cue that I'm really starting to think is one of the few rare customs that were made.

Does anyone happen to know more regarding these cues? I've got some information but not quite enough.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

i never saw the name in the forearm
and i bought a lot of cues and cases from mike roberts

your cue is probably authentic because it is so nice
anyone who could make a cue that well
would have no need to make a copy

Dick Abbott or one of the other people like maybe Will Prout, or Tate may have an answer to your question. Looks very nice.

I should have thought about Dick, I mean asking him. Wow, that sounded weird. Sorry about that. Thanks for the tip. I know him and will send a PM.

I wasn't being a smart*** I just couldn't resist leaving that there. Lol.

Great cue but not so rare. There was a thread on here not to long ago about the name on the forearm like that. I looked for it but couldn't dig it up. Its here though

The best find its the small Its George stamp on the butt cap. Mike told me someone stole that stamp from the shop and the replacement was a bit bigger.

No there was a small Its George Font that was used on some of the bigger early cues. The small logo was stolen from the shop and was never replaced. I have some pictures of a cue I have with it Ill drag up and post up.. What you asking for this cue?

Its definitely an Its George. Nice cue.... I have seen one from the same time period with the forearm name and date.

Nope Wade what you have there is the replacement logo to the smaller one. That's the logo that ended up sticking around.

Now the logo that's on my jump cue is the permanent logo but the logo on my player is the ones bill did by hand till they got the stamp made..

Engraved logo.

IRC, Bill stated to me that there are 12 IT's George cues with the engraved logo.

neat IG cue pictured

IRC, Bill stated to me that there are 12 IT's George cues with the engraved logo.

That is correct, the first dozen cues that he helped them get ready for the 1st trade show they brought them to. Bill hand engraved them and they do look different than the subsequent stamped logos. That was the extent of the Bill's involvement with the construction of IG cues. This is what I recall of my conversation with Bill, but that has been quite a few years ago.

Mike is making a few cues again. Here is one he just finished.

If you remome the weight bolt under the bumper i can just about guarantee you it will have a number roughly engraved on the bolt. Especially its george cues with the stitch rings you have. Also the ferrule material on the shaft looks just like the material stevie moores fancy george that he used for such a long time. The only cues i have ever seen use this almost "translucent" color to the ferrules are the early its george cues.other than the stamp on the forearm your cue looks like a killer example of an early its george cue.

Better Pictures

Here are a couple of better pics of what some of the guys are referring too.
