Scott Frost Vs. Efren Reyes..

I stepped away but somehow Scott ended up -1.

Efren made a ball and Scott is -1.

Efren plays a perfect combo bank after making in the eight to get up 3 to -1.

Efren makes a combo with safety shape on the next ball but then rattles the first easy shot he's had completely out of the pocket. ball count 4 to -1.

Scott looking to get aggressive although I don't know if this is the time to do that.

He tries a thin cross corner bank and misses it but only leaves Efren a full table off angle foot apart combo which he cinches of course to get up 6-1 and then leaves a ball sitting in his hole which Scott makes for him to put him up 7 to -1.

Not looking good for Scott.

Efren two rails a ball with follow.

Efren two rails a ball with follow to put the CB down table and a ball on his side.

Scott sends the ball two rails back into the stack and Efren knocks the ball back down table leaving the CB in the stack.

Scott has a thin cut on the eleven and it looks like he may go for it.

He hits it off the bottom rail to put it next to his hole and sends the CB down table.

Efren banks the ball to his side away from Scott's hole and leaves the CB on the bottom rail.

Scott knocks a ball away from the stack and leaves the CB on the bottom rail.

Efren sends the CB up table to hit a ball and leave the CB there.

Looks like Efren is going to try a carom bank off the stack but then changes his mind and plays the same shot as last time instead.

Scott then tries 'something' and thin cuts a ball towards Efren's pocket selling out.

tough cut for Efren still though.

He makes it to and another? to get on the hill. I guess the ball count was off or Efren was just shooting another ball cause he wasn't sure that was enough.

The blow by blow is awesome! Jaden, in your opinion is Efren playing jam up or is Scott not playing well? I didn't expect Efren to be leading 6-3 at this point and it sounds like he's playing good.

Scott breaks...

Scott breaks and puts a ball right in front of his hole with protection.

Efren's giving it a lot of thought...

He elects to crossbank a ball and go into the stack. The ball falls and he has position on another ball.

He overshoots position coming to the next ball and is in a tight predicament.

He elects to just knock in Scott's ball and leave the CB in Scott's hole. Ball Count is 2-1 Efren.

Scott goes for a cross bank and while he doesn't make it, all but one ball end up on his side of the table.

Efren goes for a safe but under runs the CB and leaves Scott a bank. Although with the one where it is he should play the bank carom off the four and follow the CB up against the rail.

He elects to play a pure safe shot and leaves Efren a long shot on the only ball on his side of the table that leaves no follow up and is a sellout if missed.

Efren almost goes for it but plays it safe instead.

Scott tempts him with the same shot again, but Efren doesn't take the bait.

Let's see if third time is a charm.

After the balls on Scott's side have been rearranged in a tad bit more difficult configuration.

Scott decides to try something different and masses to try and knock the only ball on Efren's side to his side, but caroms off of it and scratches in the corner giving Efren BIH.

Efren makes two balls and then misses to make the ball count 4-0.

Ok Efren's turn to sellout.

Hits one of scott's balls with the CB and leaves him an open shot.

Scott gets out a cue extension... Not taking any chances...

Scott gets perfect shape on the for needing seven balls to get back in it.

Scott gets six balls before being forced to play safe.

He knocks one of two balls on Efren's side to his and leaves the CB against the bottom rail.

They're both playing well.

Efren is executing phenomenally and Scott has made one or two errors that are unforeseeable and simply unfortunate IMO.

Jaden

They're taking a 30 minute break...

Don't yell at me for not updating for a while, they're taking 30...

Jaden

yeah...

they took a break in the middle of the match or scott made it 6-4 then took a break?

It is the middle of the game, ballcount is 6-4 in Scott's favor and the game count is 6-3 in Efren's favor.

Kind of weird, but hey, it isn't my choice...

Jaden

This is a great match. Efren started off slow in the first two games, missing everything. Since then, he's played great. You boys should buy the stream;)

I'm more doing this for the people who can't get the stream...

Some people are at work where streams don't work. I'm the IT director, and some privileges come with being the boss.

the players all agreed to take a break at 2pm seems kinda strange in the middle of a game but hey the match is back live

Right before the break there was a controversy over if Scott owed balls from before. Scott was trying to ask the audience if he did or not. I think there were coins on the rail and that's why Efren was saying he owed balls. There was not a resolution before the stream went down for the break.

Early in the match there was one other controversy. Scott claimed Efren fouled, Efren said he did not. They debated for about a minute, then Efren put a ball on the spot.

Wow...

Scott tries to play safe up by Efren's pocket and scratches in Efren's pocket.

Now Efren has BIH and the count is 5-4.

Efren bobbles the spot shot and trying to get shape on the next ball leaves Scott a cut.

Scott bobbles it and leaves a shot for Efren with another ball sitting in his pocket.

Efren MISSES the shot to his pocket.

Scott almost goes for a tough cut instead of an easy bank but thinks better of it and cinches the bank with shape on the next three balls.

Scott gets out and back in the game.

4-6...

Efren makes a good break.

Scott goes for it and puts a ball in his hole, but comes a biscuit from scratching up table...

Efren manages to knock Scott's ball away from his hole.

Scott sends the one ball from Efren's side to his side and locks the CB in the stack.

These top players are NOT incapable of being rattled, it's possible that those misses by Efren get in his head. We'll see. So far he's playing well.

This weekend Busty admitted to me that I was throwing him off his game until I missed a couple of shots and let him start free stroking.

Efren got an open shot and almost bobbled it, but it fell after a couple of seconds of hanging.

Efren misses a combo and leaves Scott a difficult but make-able cut.

Scott makes it and ALMOST gets perfect shape for a stack break out on the eight but the cb rolls a little far. He's able to make a different ball and get shape on the eight and then get shape on another ball.

He then makes a shot with shape and a bit of a break out on the stack.

he can come around for the open four or try to get shape for a six twelve combo.

He gets to where he can choose either.

He elects to try the combo but misses it, but doesn't sell out anything luckily.

Not sure of the ball count at this point.

Scott cinches a long shot with shape on two more balls.

He clinches the game to make get within one 5-6...
