Ha...we are a spoiled lot.
So far, the streams I have purchased have been flawless. No buffering or breaks at all.
I read a very interesting article about TV channels, like CBS and HBO, are jumping on the broadband wagon, as NetFlix has already done:
With millennials consuming their entertainment online and over mobile, these moves reflect a shift in the thinking of traditional media executives who have been slow to find a paid digital strategy beyond licensing their content to Netflix and other services.
That's a significant change for content companies that had been holding back from the brave new world of paid digital.
And here's the skinny: About 45 percent of Americans stream television shows at least once a month, according to research firm eMarketer. That number is expected to increase to 53 percent or 175 million people by 2018, it says.
Pool live-streamers should really reconsider these free live streams of pool. There's a trend blossoming, which could help put pool on the map. Finally!

I threw my dish out put up a good Antenna and now saving $70 bucks a month. Stream everything else. Of course my TV needs are pretty minimal. Look at TVFools for antenna recommendations, channels available for your area.
It seems that is the direction everything is going in.
My Comcast bill is about $250 a month, with four TVs, two DVRs, and all the prime channels. Ridiculous! Yet, I do enjoy watching TV when I'm not working, so it is an expense that I endure. :embarrassed2:
If everything is streamed in the future, cable may have to come down with their prices, much like the cell phone industry has done. Remember when we used to have to pay "roaming charges" for long-distance calls on the cell phone? Heck, I now have AT&T, unlimited everything, for my cell phone carrier, and it's 50 bucks a month. I used to pay a lot more.
There are still roaming charges. It's for when your cell connects to a service outside of the carreirs coverage area, they charge you for "borrowing" another antenna.
I know people that have travelled overseas, forgot to inform their carrier to switch them over to an international plan, and got a $2,000 phone bill for the month.
I did this a few years ago and haven't looked back. Sure I do miss some things, but for the most part it helps me be more productive.

Yes, I read where, with the CBS move to streaming their programs, we may actually have a choice where we only pay for what we watch; part of my gripe about cable, satellite, etc. and the way they bundle programs is that I pay for over 100 channels, but watch only about 10-12 of them. You'd notice most of those extra channels have to do with infomercials or advertising anyway. It reminds me of when I was having to buy entire record albums when I was young, just to listen to a couple of my favorite songs. When I bought my first Ipod and started purchasing favorite songs for about 99 cents apiece, that was the ideal. Seems the same may be happening for TV.

Such a hard little life.... Storms on the Easy coast... Nothing can be done to fade mother nature.. AZ Scoring was down during the same time period. just remember if things get worse... it's down the road not across the street.. That would be the tru favor....
