He ain't done yet, folks...he smells the finish line and knows he's got to keep the fire on. He didn't come this far to finish in 6th place...

ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ!!!

Congratulations to Nick Ekonomopoulos! He earned the third spot in Team Europe and will play the Mosconi Cup XXI to be held in Blackpool, England on the 1-4 of December, 2014.
And he now in last 3 of US Open

I think Terry meant to say at least 3d place:confused:

Yes, he's guaranteed third right now from where he's at on the winner's side.

Third place used to pay $10,000. It is amazing that nobody has requested to see what the payouts are yet.

Correction Terryhanna he is in the final 4

Last 3. Guaranteed

In his win against Warren, it was a bit of comedy of errors. But then Nick found out afterwards while practicing that something went wrong withn his shaft (after smacking it?) such that he couldn't make balls even in practice. I suppose he then switched shafts or got it fixed because against Francisco in the winner's side. Nick looked like he had no problems, sending Django to the west side.

Freddie <~~~ impressed

Still is, 10k for third, 15k for the losing finalist and 30k for the winner.

But still not enough to pay Greek property taxes :P

I blame us (Americans) for somehow, by common misuse, have succesfully changed the meaning of "literally" to something that sort of means "metaphirically." Unless, of course, you are literally $hitting your pants

"Property taxes"? Is that what they're calling the Greece country bail-out plan? :p ;) :D

J/K. All funnin' aside, while some may complain about the payouts, the U.S. Open is still one of the higher- and deeper-paying tourneys.
