In our haste for getting ready for th US Open there was a failure in the QC checkpoint of go/nogo for Ki-Tech Softs... From October 1st thru the 31st if you received a soft that is under 4 stacked pennies in thickness you received a bad tip and we will make it up to you... So far of the 1000 tips that went out in that period we have heard from 5 buyers but I yanked another 300 off the shelf and found 15 that should not have passed our QC...

Outville is 100% about quality and trusting our products.. If you even think that you got a Soft that was undersized email us at Outsville@hotmail.com and I will send you 2 for how ever many you ordered originally....

After 2 years our customers know we play one game and one game only.. We make the best tips on the market and you can depend on getting the same tip every single time you order from us.... I apologize for not keeping our end of the bargain even though the tips we sent out were in spec in regards to everything but thickness....

That's some good customer service right there. I bought a soft during that period but I don't know if the thickness was off.

Well that was close. I'm sitting here at a bar in the Philippines having a Ki-Tech medium being put on my cue. He just finished up. I was gonna get the softs sent here.
 
I would expect nothing less than Renfro's reaction. Quality product and he stands behind it.
I did get a soft a few days ago. I will measure it tonight. If it is full sized it goes on a shaft. I play with Ki-tech med. But have really been wanting to try the soft and I gave my last one away already.
 
Measured the soft I got last week. Well over 4 pennies tall, have it on a cue in a few days.

Yeah now if I just had their money I could burn mine.... Was just stupidity on my part... I didn't follow my own procedures and it bit me... Usually do the final durometer test and then use the go/nogo plate to sort them into the good bin or the oops bin... I was in a hurry and it was late so I skipped the plate and just started filling pill packages.... Then for the US Open I grabbed everything but the freaking plate so I was filling orders using a durometer and my tired eyeballs... I was too tired to even think about stacking pennies as a poor man's gauge.....

Just another way to screw up... Sooner or later I gotta run out of ways LOL
 
You can't have my Free Tip back.

Besides, we don't use pennies in Canada any longer so I have nothing to measure with.

I am sure it will be just fine the way it is.

LOL no more pennies?? What do you stick in your penny loafers??

I would bet there were less than 50 tips that got thru but that's 50 too many especially when you get one shot at making an impression and the last place I would have wanted them was in one of our sampler packs.... I got an email today from a buyer who bought 20tips and I am betting these will be the majority of the oopses.... I just figured anyone who opened one of the thin ones should be told up front we had a few mistakes running around out there and not all are from the indiscretions of my youth =D
