So I just received this cue, it is an old conversion that is in great original condition. I have an idea of who made it, what do you guys think?:D I'll start with a butt pic which should give it away for the most part

Well I figured the weight bolt and exposed screw on ferrule were a dead giveaway but I guess not, here's a full length pic(would've posted 5 pics but my photobucket got hacked and I can only upload 1 pic at a time)

Paradise or Palmer?

I was thinkin the same thing, the blank is a titlist and the butt reminds me of a few paradise cues that I've seen. I haven't managed to get the ferrule off, I think it is seized but I'm fairly certain it unscrews as the bolt is exposed. Here's a pic of the joint...

I was under the impression paradise cues had a pin through the joint. Doesn't look like a Palmer, to me that is. Maybe an early Viking? I thought dick Abbott has a similar looking cue that is unknown to him too.

Neither Paradise nor Palmer, imo. Looks more Rambow-ish than anything, but some things don't look quite right for that either. Could be one of many doing cues in that style in the '60s, including the possibility of Craig Petersen, who sometimes copied the Rambow look with his early works.

I agree, it looks more like a Rambow than either a Paradise or Palmer. May be someone else, for sure.

I am pretty sure it's a Rambow but with a replaced buttcap and ferrule. Notice the ring on the butt doesn't match the cap? The ring itself looks like ivory.
The buttcap could have cracked and been replaced with a Delrin facsimile. The two things about this cue that say Rambow to me are the butt design (except for the cap)
and the symmetry of the points in relation to the wrap. The joint area looks like Rambow too. before I read your info on the ferrule, I thought it wasn't original to the cue.
The pin holding the ferrule on is probably some kind of repair to fix a broken tenon without shortening the shaft. The pin looks too thick to be a screw-on ferrule type
which explains why it won't unscrew - it's probably a glued repair.

Thanks TATE, I inspected the cue a little further, it does appear that the ferrule was replaced as it doesn't sit perfectly flush with the shaft. I also thought the buttcap was replaced considering it didn't match the ring but was uncertain. When I bought the cue I thought it was a Rambow but as soon as I received it I tossed that notion out the window as the cap wasn't ivory. Do you think I should replace the buttcap with ivory or just keep it as is?

Sorry I didn't see this right away.

I don't know how much you have into it or want to put into it. If it were mine, I would have Deno Andrews look at it. If he says "yes' it's a Rambow, and charges for a letter, the value without a signature but with a letter and restored might be around $1000. If it costs $250 to $300 to make these repairs, and $150 for a letter (just a guess, no idea what Deno charges for a simple LOA these days), then it's worthwhile in my opinion. You could also use faux ivory for less, but the value would be less too.

Thanks Tate, fortunately I have a ball that would replace the buttcap. I've tried contacting Deno in the past with no response, if someone could pm me the best contact info that would be Greatly appreciated!!
