Does anyone know where to access the Mosconi Cup stream scheduled to start on Monday, Dec1? To be honest I'm completely baffled. How can the biggest event in pool have so little promotion and information about how to watch it? I received an email about a pay per view send off for the Mosconi Cup members, but have received no info about how to sweat the mosconi Cup. Please help.

It's going to be streamed live on ESPN 3.

I was hoping that would be the case, but I hadn't seen that confirmed.

Matchroom decided to keep the World Pool Masters and sell it in syndication, so I was thinking they might do the same with the Mosconi Cup.

My information comes from what Mark Wilson stated at the event in Illinois on Saturday.

Yep!

People make such a big deal about the Mosconi Cup. The funny thing is that even on AZ a Pool forum, people every year have to go searching to even find a way to watch it. Well at least here in the U.S.

How will Pool ever get any bigger in the U.S. when what is considered to be the biggest Pool event of the year is not shown where anybody other than die hard fans can find it, to watch ?

All the talk about being patriot and playing for your country, or showing up even if you're not playing to root, or getting behind Team USA as a fan is nice I guess. Let's face it most people in the USA don't have a clue if you asked them, what the Mosconi Cup even is.

It's also a shame that the Mosconi Cup is even considered the biggest event of the year when tournaments that are solely based on how you perform, and not whether or not you get picked to play are considered to be second fiddle to this made for TV event, that's not even on TV, here. LOL

P.S. go team usa
Theres some worked needed for sure, this event should be emailed, texted, tweeted and broadcasted to at least every living pool player, APA, BCA, Pool Halls, you name it. The game needs the support.

That, IMO, is one of the main reason for pool's state.

For some reason, pool's promoters have found it unnecessary to use traditional marketing, advertising for pool's promotion and then they wonder why there's not more interest...

People don't ****in' KNOW that pro pool even exists because it's not out there.

In the markets that it's successful, it has more traditional promotion.

Mosconi cup times

According to Sky sports, each day the mosconi cup will start at 6pm Blackpool (Grenwich mean) time.

6pm Blackpool time is 10 am Pacific time, 11 am Mountain time, noon Central time, and 1 pm Eastern time.

Hope this helps. If in doubt just check ESPN 3's schedule for your particular location.

I don't see how this eludes you. The Mosconi Cup is the perfect format for viewers. It has everything. The short races means anyone can win. It can be argued that longer races will show who the better player is. But the short races have something the longer ones do not.....Extreme pressure.

The crowd (the European crowd at least) really get into it. It makes it more exciting. And the enthusiastic crowd gives the Mosconi Cup (both teams simultaneously) one thing.....Extreme pressure.

Remember the Vandenberg jump shot as the clock was approaching zero? The time clock gives the Mosconi Cup one thing....Extreme pressure.

Whats not to like about the Mosconi Cup? It has it all. Its a far cry from the normal boring pool tournament where someone takes 5 minutes per shot (of course I'm exaggerating here). From the point of view of the casual observer, and the experienced player, it is a much better diversion of time then the same ol pool tournament.

So many will nitpic everything apart. You all can complain about the selection process of the players. You all can complain about the break format. You all can complain about cut players not attending with the team. None of it matters. It is still the most EXCITING event in pool. I love it! GO TEAM USA!
