It looks like that pocket angles do not match. Is that just the way early anniversaries are without modifications? The right side of the pocket has a sharper angle, the left side looks straighter. Great looking table otherwise. I would love to have one of these.

The cloth under the slate looks loose too.

Yeah, looks like it, I did not see that at first, I think that is easy to do if it has the radius-ed pocket cut outs in the slate like my GCII . Because of what I do I am really good at eyeballing angles, the corners stuck out like a sore thumb when I first saw that. I would still love to have one of those tables, that or a GCV is about the ones I would be willing to give my GCII for.

Glen and Mark would not leave that cloth that way for sure .
The pocket angle does look funny but kinda hard to tell from this kind of pictures.
Now, if we can only convince WPA and Diamond to maintain 139* corner pocket angles instead of 141*....

I'd take an Anniversary or Centennial souped-up by Glen and Mark anytime.
Or Glen get his azz down here in SoCal and soup up my GC II as originally planned.

Pocket angles

Pocket angles are both at 141 degrees. I use a machinist protractor to mark my angles. 3/16 neoprene pocket facings and I use the "cut fat" and sand even method to get them nice and clean looking. Unless you are standing perfectly/ evenly above it with the camera , one of them(this case the one with the shadow) is always going to look off in my opinion. I think I remember RKC saying something about Brunswick not having the corners exact on the older tables?? I do see that in the corner pocket appears to be loose, it is stapled on the bottom of the slate liner. Perfection is tough to achieve like Glen! I am working as hard as I can to get my projects to be as close to perfect as I can. There are no relief cuts showing or ball damaging staples showing. There are also not any shadows on the table showing that I evenly pulled the Simonis 860. I aspire to learn the glue down method and the RKC pocket finishing method. His is the best looking pocket finish I have ever seen. That being said, I do appreciate the constructive criticisms.

My 9' GC3 project is going into The Punch Bowl Social in Detroit, a new Gastro Pub by Greektown Casino downtown, tomorrow. I must do the 2 piece pocket finish on the GC3 because of the difference in the pocket shelf compared to the older Brunswick tables. I will post pictures tomorrow evening. Not used to wrapping up 2 projects within a week, but, I also cannot complain about being busy either. :)
