The best 9 months of my life

When I went on the road to play pool full time back in September of 2013, I left with $2,100. When I left the road in the beginning of June to arrive in St. Louis, I had $40 left, but I survived, and I won't ever forget what I experienced.

I did document everything into a 57 page pamphlet that I intend to add more to whenever I decide to go back onto the road again in the future.

It's amazing you still visit this site honestly. You were never capable of being a road player. You are detached from reality. People gave you honest to goodness advice to advance yourself both mentally and physically. You disregarded it without a second thought. Unlike what your twisted mind believes, AZB does not want you to fail. But then again this is another 'look at me' thread. Yes we know you still exist. Please stop making threads solely about yourself.

Given the description you provided of that time, it is a rather sad testimony to the rest of your life. To each their own however, I hope you have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

If losing $2,060 is the best 9 months of your life I'll give you my Paypal address and you can just deposit it there. Just think how great it will feel to double that into my account.

You must know her personally to be so informed about what she thinks?

I like the threads. They're educational.

I wish I had the, whatever it is you have to do this. Sadly, I don't think I would have ever fared much better (I'm not a good enough pool player me thinks).

But I have my Baby-Boy Georgie and my wife, so I could never do this anyway.

I hope the very best for you and your dream.

On a side note (not trying to be an jerk guy here), a serious question/curiosity. Can you (if you qualify skill wise) join the WPBA. I know there was controversy with the UFC about it.

Merry Christmas...

I did not lose $2,060. Expenses are not the same as a loss. I probably spent around $18,000 over those 9 months on travel, tournament entries, calcuttas, food, shelter, phone service, clothing, green fees, etc. Unfortunately I spent more money on expenses over that timeframe than I earned from gambling wins, and tournament wins. I only hope that next time I try again I can last longer on perhaps even less.

And from the very beginning-----if you would of answered questions or tried to learn how to hustle
from experienced road players that come on here, you could of actually won money instead of
wasting money and time.

I'm forever greatful that I do not have a life even remotely similar to yours if that was the best 9 months of your life...

I don't think her game is as bad as everyone makes it out to be, her lack of making a game seems to where she fails. Action junkies always struggle to get the right spot. No, she isn't top speed but from what I understand road players didn't have to be top speed they just had to know how to make a game right.

That being said, is it even possible to go on the road anymore and make a living? I know that you can find people all over to gamble but with all the research that can be done don't most games end up being about even after weights given?

Edit: I'm to lazy to look up the other thread but did anything ever happen with the tournament that banned you?

I suppose I could continue to rag on you but truth be told, I think it's kind of cool you have a life in that you can afford to do something like this. Many of us, me included, are stuck in office jobs working 9 to 5. Being on the road and living that life would be pretty cool if it were feasible.

You could still Paypal me that money if you get sick of it :D

Would it really? Not knowing if you are going to have the money to eat again? Not knowing if you are going to have the money to have a place to sleep or just sleep in your car.

I'll take the 9 to 5 with the wife, kids, and friends I can trust and just go to the poolhall a couple times a week...

Me too, bud. Just saying that if you aren't tied down to anything and could do it, it would be a cool experience.

If I put an ad in a newspaper....

Nine month vacation....doing what you like to do...$2,060 !

I think I would get a lot of responses.

...and if you factor in expenses, including table time.....
...Rhea is actually a way ahead on the gambling part.

Editing the diary could make it saleable.....to a major magazine.

Say if you win the lottery, and can truly retire. Then this might be a cool lifestyle (minus the stress on family).

I respect her for following the dream even if it seems ill advised. It doesn't hurt me...
