State your New Years Resolutions first and your goals for 2015 second.

Resolution: Now that I am retired practice or play 7 days a week and quit being so lazy and sitting around, particularly on weekends watching live streams and drinking beer (Want to quit drinking all together after New Years Eve).

Goal: Run a 100 balls in straight pool. Ran a 65 earlier this year at the age of 60 and haven't played 10 games of 14.1 since.

Have fun and keep it clean

Resolution: Im playing in two different leagues right now and in this new year I'm quitting one and going to put all of my focus on just one league one night a week.

Goal: My goal for the new year is to put a 6 pack on the 9-ball ghost in a race to 9. Im only up to 3 so far and I've only done that once....and no ball in hand after the break.

Allen, I feel compelled to give you some advice...you seem like a good guy.
Take the ball in hand for a true reading on your pool development.
There is a lot of luck getting a shot at the lowest ball after the break....
...you'll have periods when you have to kick a lot resulting in skewed
figures in the ghost's favor.

There is something to be learned about ball in hand....
...sometimes I can rate a player from where he places whitey.

just plain more focus! . sometimes I get a little lazy and just start shooting rather than making that particular shot important, if you know what I mean. I know how to make shots and make shape, it is the mental part of the game I have to work on now. at my age it is difficult to remember last week, so this part of the game comes hard for me, especially after 3 or 4 hours of shooting.

Work harder.
Beat the shit out of the 9 ball ghost.
Beat the shit out of my one pocket mentor.
Work really hard on my mental game, i.e. get better at not panicking, not giving up, not getting frustrated, etc.
Drink less/not at all while I play.
Worry less about cues and more about cueing

To elevate my game and be more consistent by focusing more. This year I moved up and down, played really well but didn't finish consistently.

I need to get my stroke inline, and not always go for the win.

Take my own advice that I give to my team mates. It's odd that I tell them to play a good safe, but I go for the shot myself and don't take the safe.

I have our local legal tournament in a few weeks, I hope to a few of these inline by then since we have a couple weeks off between sessions.

1. Recover from a rotator cuff injury (thank God it's not a tear)

2. Practice better

3. Beat my 14.1 high-run (only 25)

4. Beat the 6-ball ghost (may be a bit audacious since I can only beat the 4-ball ghost right now.)
