wow, facebook blowup

he's trying to point out to Shawn that if he were versed in snooker balls we wouldn't be having this conversation?

but seriously - i don't like the Cyclop balls either, simply because of the TV colors. but Mosconi uses the TV colors, so....i guess "these times, they are a-changin' ".

if the wave of the future is Cyclop for tourneys (for whatever reason), then the promoters simply need to disclose what balls/cue are being used; likewise the players should insist on this info in advance, so that they can buy their own practice set & are better prepared.

It is ironic to note the snooker world has been going through something similar recently, with many pros criticising the decision to change the CB in an attempt to prevent kicks. They weren't told in advance so had no chance to practise. Lots of household names all over twitter, not just one bloke with a dodgy cue action who nobody had actually heard of.

I'm still here, you however may have to use another identity.

Which of your statements.....lets focus on the accurate one....oops can't find that either, like your sense of humor.

I dunno, sarcasm?

Which of my statements were inaccurate? (And with that, MD slinks off, back into the long grass)

He plays good-boring but good.

You're from Omaha? I used to play there a lot when I was 16 and 17 years old, with Bucky Carroll, Stan Fimple and "Omaha John".......there was another guy, "Cash Man" that supposedly ran 13 holes in a row playing golf on a snooker table.

No, still from Chicago (now in burbs 40 miles west of Chicago) A friend and me drove to Omaha for the weekend to attend the event.

I've never seen a pocket on the center of the table. me thinks it would take anyone more than three tries to pocket a ball in the center when there's no pocket there...

Maybe his expertise is in bumper pool??

I forgot about bumper pool. I haven't even SEEN a bumper pool table since I was 14 at my church's youth group basement area...

There is a bumper pool table at Premium Billiards in Syracuse, NY. First one I've seen in fifty years. There were two younger players going at it for beers. Interesting game.

One of the guys who plays in our league has a bumper pool table in his basement.

(along with a nice 8-footer and a fooseball table, place is nicely finished too. That's where a bunch of us were tonight, he and his lady hosted us. They had us over this past summer, I hadn't seen one in at least 30 years, probably more. We had a great time playing that....pretty cool, after all that time, and a lot more pool knowledge in the meantime.)

Neat stuff.
