Got Xmas cash looking for instructional DVDs

I got an Amazon gift card for Xmas. I am pretty new at 14.1; been playing league 1-1/2 years. Looking for a good instructional DVD on the subject. Would appreciate any help.

check out Accu-Stats, i highly recomend the video's done by Jim Rempe

How To Run a Rack in Straight Pool
and
How To Run 100 Balls

lots of great info in these videos, i just watched them again just yesterday.

i have watched them quite a few times, and i always find something new in them.

not sure if these are on Amazon though, maybe you'll be lucky and find someone selling a used copy of them.

I have seen that before. It is great but unfortunately on the only thing from Jim Rempe on Amazon that shows up is a training cue ball. But thanks for your suggestion.

Lot of his stuff is free and on youtube, and he has good basic drills that work. He's also on AZ I believe.

14.1 used to be my favorite game, focused on it for a few years before finally moving to 1P. The best skill to have, IMO, is being able to run out the last 5-6 balls in the correct pattern and always ending up with a good break ball shot. This is so critical that until you can do it most of the time, everything else is almost a waste of time (except shooting until you no longer miss much). I would do this drill day after day (it's much harder than most people would guess) until I could do it without thinking. I still do it from time to time as it's an excellent exercise for 1P also.

Yes he is one of our very own, goes by the name of Blackjack, he really knows his stuff. He is a great instructor, he has helped out my game emensly !!
