I've been unable to even get a feed for the last 45 min.

It was fine all day, now ...PPfffft.

3 different systems, same thing....cookies are cleared...still no-go...

Accu stats

Completely unwatchable tonight... Funny thing is I've been having trouble with my ipad so I thought that was it. No, it is the same of different pc's. A couple more times like this and I'll be asking for a refund. I don't mind shelling out the cash to support and watch but you must be able to watch...

Mine was good all day and tonight. I feel for you guys though. I've been in your boat when everyone says it's fine, but it's not for me and a few more. Johnnyt

Yeah I share your frustrations cos I am from England and I really love this tournament and I have had no freezing problems in the past. But this last session today 26/01/2015 was freezing up pretty bad. I use firefox and decided to switch to IE and problem solved. Went to sleep and came back to my default browser Firefox and it was just fine again so I am stumped. I feel there is definitely more interference the more subscribers they have or maybe they were having technical difficulties and to be honest they do have a pretty complex setup in the arena. One thing I wish is that I am only getting a 720p video quality and for what you pay is it not possible that we can have 1080p?

Me too but 2 days ago it wouldn't work at all on one of my Laptops. Yesterday it worked on both of them but the Mika match forget it. Again i went to bed. There just is not enough bandwidth at that hotel and there never has been.

It was unwatchable last night. I basically got 60 still frames per rack. I tried Internet Explorer & FireFox:angry:

Im pretty sure that is how they keep the streams going when they have low 'bandwidth'-They cut back on the quality.

Last year there were similar problems and I contacted accu stats about it and did not hear anything back.

I didn't break balls about a refund though I felt I paid for a mostly unwatchable event.

I applaud and support all that Pat has done; I am a huge Accu Stats fan. :)

But I have to say that at this point we are no longer in the dark ages of event streaming and wherever it lies, there is a weak link (or several) in the chain that gets this stream from DCC to our pc's.

No Stroke is correct in that we've heard over the years how the host for this event has had poor bandwidth to support streaming. I recall when there was the need to shut down one streamer there (was it TAR?) so they wouldn't diminish what little bandwidth that was available for accu stats.

Well, anywho, I sure don't know much about the technical aspect of streaming but I do know that if they can't deliver the product to my pc again this time, I'm gonna be looking for a refund.

Been looking forward to watching DCC for some time now, and now with 2 - 3 feet of snow about to entomb me, I'm really hoping it will straighten out so I won't be left to the horror of network television or books.

Obviously, the problem is widespread enough given the responses here in this thread to say, yes, there def is a problem.

I, and I see others, too, have tried IE, Firefox, & Chrome, all with similar freezing problems.

Accu-Stats, Horseshoe, or whomever, please rescue me (us).

best,
brian kc

That's what they said they were doing. He said they are going to throttle it back even more tonight.I missed most of the evening matches, then finally got back in when the last match was tied at seven games.
I guess everyone else quit trying to watch at that point because it ran fine.

I would like to see OldZilla post something here to at least show some intrest. Kickin' is right.... we're not in the dark ages anymore. Let's get this stuff up & runnin'

Sounds like a timeshare

I'm running at 5.2 ghz and I did experience buffering problems/ freeze ups Sun afternoon. The problem was definitely on the sending end and lasted about an hour or so. I don't believe I had a problem with the last match. As an IT person many things can affect speed. Others in house sending out streams could make a huge difference on their end. The link below will give you some reading on optimizing your system.
Doing speed tests at different times will tell you lots on whether the problem is with you or the streamer.

Remember the old days with cell towers and the number of dropped calls one would have by lack of bandwidth.
Cell phone towers used the logic sell it make the money and then build the infrastructure to support all the additional users.

Strange. I have the worst internet ever at home. I usually just use my phone instead. But this stream has been flawless for me and my crappy internet.

Oldzilla was on the Accu-Stats chat yesterday afternoon when myself and multiple others started complaining about freezing in the stream. He implied they have spoken with the hotel over the years but the hotel has no interest in increasing its bandwidth. The impression I got is Accu-Stats feels there is nothing they can do.

With that said, the freezing problems lasted about 30min and then cleared up, for me.
