Banks vs. Bigfoot

My vote: Banks

I'm not going to piss on the Bigfoot because it's a cool tournament but having to watch it in place of the banks is disappointing.

You don't have to...

You can always fly to Indiana and Watch the banks>????

I would think Accu-Stats would sell a ton more DVD's of 16 great players playing 10 ball on a 10' table than most banks match ups. Now the banks ring game I missed if they showed it. That one I like. Johnnyt

I got to agree, at least have the 10 Ball in place of the worthless 9-Ball matches rather than the Banks that isn't seen anytime else.

This I can agree with. The Banks tournament is one of the big three at the DCC that adds up to Master of the Table. All respect to the Bigfoot and Jay, it's a side event.

Bigfoot was a side event that is now one of the headliners of the DCC. Johnnyt

No offense to any of the organizers, but I am a fan of the diverse collection of games that we call pool. Fortunately, this includes banks. Unfortunately, about all that viewers are provided is 9 ball or 10 ball. I suppopse that bonus ball attempted to break the monotony with cheesiness and bizarre rules, but to no avail.

I think that the pool viewers and fans would like to see different skills showcased, but I may be wrong. I have watched the bigfoot event in person and the extra half of a foot by 1 foot did not make the game better to me. Just more 10 ball, IMO.

So yes, more banks generally would be a good thing and specifically, the DCC should focus on and showcase their core events.

It sucks they're at the same time as I enjoy watching both. As monotonous as 9/10 ball can be to watch the semifinals and finals were an absolute pleasure to watch. Though they weren't competitive in the score, seeing a .957 on a 10' table was incredible. That being said, if forced, I'd choose to see more banks.

Once again

As big a production at Accu-Stats "Production" is I find it hard that there are such loop holes in their production. Just like in the automobile industry it's amazing that the low end guys offer more standard feature that the luxury. Beginning with the loop feature "which no one sees as a problem" but whatever. You would think that there would be the availability of a second camera where views have the option of paying for which event or match they want to watch, commentating may be an issue or not.

In my perfect world "and the day that i hit the lotto" I would like to see big events like Derby, US Open, Turning Stone have a set up where all streams are invited, they each get a table to stream that they manage as far as what matches are up next and such giving view full american freedom of choice of what match they want to watch. And then at the end they all get a spot on the final table so that view can support the streamer be it POV, ISP, Azb hell even TAR of their choice. Truly supporting pool for all.

I feel that their is too much ME involved in pool that helps to keep it down. In my perfect world "the one where I have the money to help offset cost so that this could get rolling" I would employ the service of Pat, Allen, Streamers to be able to host more big events that benefit not just pool players but views and those involved. By joining forces I feel that this cuts down on overhead cost tremendously and perhaps events like the Open could not be such a burden on one man resulting in the financial loss and thus resulting in the unfortunate track record that comes with it (referring to Barry).

I enjoy watching banks, but i'm fine with watching world class players play 10 ball, then world class players play banks. We might not see that in earlier rounds and it becomes a much uglier game.
