CJ defeats Earl and a Special Thanks to this Forum

Don't have any stats, but I have talked to many about good advice and people I speak face to face with have nothing bad to say about CJ Wiley. So the one's I am interested in is my majority. If you are so concerned about it, start a poll on who like and don't like CJ Wiley..

I asked a simple question, no need for you to get all snippy about it and read into it things that weren't there.

My stats that I've posted on my private web site, show azbers are divided into three distinct objective groups:
1. CTE
2. TOI
3. TIT
4. TAT

Or is it four subjective overlapping 3D groups.

No wonder more pro players don't come on here and offer advice with some of the people that are jealous making rude comments that don't represent the majority of AZB'ers.

Thanks CJ Wiley for all of your advice and hope you stay on here and keep giving tidbits of your knowledge. Anyone that is a level of CJ Wiley's advice should be taken with a gratitude, not jealousy.

I think the majority lurk and stay out of the discussion. They'd probably ask questions and get involved more, but the risk of debate isn't worth the trouble.

I appreciate CJ's time and insight. He says things 50 different ways to get his points across. If I don't agree or follow his line of thought, I shelve it for later. Looking at it from a different perspective later may make more sense and be easier to understand.

Best,
Mike

I appreciate your insight as well, it's always informative to see the pool perspective from a fellow martial artist. I've learned a several things from your insightful questions and responses.

The two disciplines are so much the same, If not for the martial arts I would have not reached the levels in the game that I still maintain today....and we don't peak out until the mid 50s, or even early 60s.

All those hours are paying off these days, life is getting better every day, in every way, and I feel fortunate to be able to share my lifetime's pool knowledge with players world-wide. I have a lot more to reveal, and will continue to answer ALL pool related questions on azbilliards, FaceBook, PM and Email - . . Mahalo!!!

PS: I put things in 50 different ways to make sure the guy that made this USA map "get's it". :groucho:

Cardigan Kid,

You have this right.

I was reading a thread on Facebook, just yesterday where a number of posters, some of them World champions, were admitting that they no longer post on AZ Billiards.

CJ and Gene Albrecht are about the only top players regularly posting on AZB. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

IMO, AZB should have stronger policies against harassment.

CJ and Gene have run the gauntlet and come out the other side as the winners that they both are.

Much respect to the both of them for tolerating the constant ridicule and harassment and much thanks for the sharing of their journey with us mere mortals.

I agree with you for sure...

You are wrong. You left out SJD, a true Hall of Famer. But, don't let that get in the way of your worship. It's understandable you forgetting him, being just a mere mortal and all.

LOL Joey,

I agree. A little civility and a lot more positive interactions would get the forum rocking! A guy doesn't always have to agree, just comment respectfully and the favor will get returned.

Neil,
Unfortunately you mistake my respect for CJ Wiley for "worship". CJ continues to make an effort to share some of his pool knowledge with the rest of us everyday people and I think that is what this site is supposed to be about. You at one time made a great effort to share your pool knowledge with the forum but now it appears you choose to harass CJ and anyone who likes or respects him.

SJD doesn't seem interested in helping anyone with their pool game but you may correct me if I am wrong. I just haven't seen it.

And as for you, you can't let go of the sniping that went on between you and CJ way back when, at which time, he mistook you for someone else that he had crossed paths with before.

Ever since that time, it seems you have stalked CJ at every opportunity seeking to tear apart what he teaches and in general make his presence on AZ Billiards miserable for lack of a better word.

I've always enjoyed your posts about pool but the pettiness of following CJ around and attempting to ridicule those who like or respect CJ is well, quite pathetic. I don't mean to be rude to you but perhaps like SJD, you will find some truth in what I say and seek to resolve some of these issues. It is after all, up to each man to work out his own salvation.

Best regards,
JoeyA

Joey, I can only go by what I read. You stated that he is not a mere mortal. By default, that makes him a god. Gods get worshipped, of which there is much of that in this thread. So, when you refer to him as a god, and you are praising his actions, then yes, that is worship any way you cut it.

Again, you post the current fad of blaming me of following CJ around. You don't even care enough about someone you once respected to find the truth, but instead are more than willing to jump on the bandwagon. Just for your info, not that I really think it matters, I don't follow him around. Why would I? OCCASIONALLY I will post something that is correct, but just because I posted it, many will not even bother to read it, just accuse me of stalking him.

This place has become more of a grade school click than a pool forum. Too many that want someone to look up to and not enough wanting to improve their games. Look no further than Tash today. Yesterday he had questions about learning CTE. Like a fool, I took him seriously as wanting to learn it, and not just bashing it. I gave him an easy way to learn it, and asked him a question about his learning it twice. Both times the key question was ignored by him.

Then in another post, I ask a simple question, and he and others go off on me. Oh, it's a thread about praising CJ, how dare I ask a question of someone on what they stated! Then the guy puts me on ignore because he was outed as the troll he was.

Funny how many of you trash CTE all the time, but if any real facts are brought out about what CJ says, that person is then trolling. Maybe some day some of you will become wise enough to see things for what they are on here, but I'm not holding my breath for that day.

You guys have fun with your little clicks. Those that really wanted to learn, aren't here anymore. All that's left is guys that mock real knowledge.

clearing that up, now if I can remember, not to forget to remember it.

So you are the one with the "real facts"? I have the facts and you have the "real facts".....thanks for clearing that up, now if I can remember, not to forget to remember it.

I simply request a chance to explain it in a different way that may "hit home"

There are a lot of haters on here, but I have to agree with the OP on this one. I don't always agree with the things CJ says and some of his views on things seem pretty far fetched. BUT...CJ gets props from me for being a great player who is willing to share his knowledge. CJ has helped me out with some kinks in my stroke via PM in the past without hesitation. And the things he told me worked!

He gets props from me just for continuing to do what he does while fading all the haters.

Thanks, glad I could help you out with the "kinks in your stroke".

I'm curious, which of my views seem "far out" to you....it's not a bad thing, I simply request a chance to explain it in a different way that may "hit home" for you, or other players.

Have a Great Weekend, and PLAY WELL

There you go again, making the mistake about someone. This time, it's me. You lump me in with the haters of CTE and I am so far from that, it is laughable and normally I would respond but if you are getting hated on because of your like for CTE, then a pox on those who would harass you about your beliefs in CTE.

IN addition, I think you might go back and read my posts and find that I was said we were mere mortals. I only insinuated that CJ Wiley is in a class by himself, far above our own skill levels and made NO mention of him not being a mere mortal. The bitterness that you feel toward CJ can't be veiled by your comments unfortunately. I have my share of dislike for some of the posters on this site, but I don't go around constantly instigating or trying to ridicule them or their friends or trying to deprive them of an opportunity of making a living.

Clicks? I have and always been and will always be my own man. I don't need a posse to bolster my ego or support my beliefs or agree with my thoughts. If someone does agree with me, that's fine, I suppose we have some common thoughts that we share. If they don't, that's fine too.

In your final paragraph, you suggest that those who wanted to learn are no longer here because of "clicks".

The real reason that many respected posters have either quit posting or have significantly reduced their posting is because of the mean-spiritedness and outright hatred that permeates these forums like a cancer. If you don't hate CJ, then show it on a regular basis.

Peace out. I am done with this dialogue. Let me mention poor ole Earl's name and maybe some of his detractors can hijack this thread back to the two names in the start of the thread and take him to task for trying to get his life back on track and winning.

Go see Randy G., you two are buddys, he will set you straight if you are serious about actually helping others. The "facts" are the science that you keep mocking.

Are you two partners, or do you work for him teaching pool?

Mocking science? Like the current "global warming," or the "global cooling" of the 70s and 80s? There's many things that science has been wrong on through the years, however, I would need an example to respond to your accusations.

I've seen Randy G. about 5 times in the last 15 years, does that classify us as "buds"? You keep bringing his name up like it has some baring on your opinions? Are you two partners, or do you work for him teaching pool? I still don't really know who you are.

I understand the physics and geometry very well, and would be glad to respond to any specific question you may have. There is nothing I've ever done that violates physics, despite what you seem to believe. Everything I can do on a pool table I could teach you, if you had the willingness to put your old ideas, beliefs, and attitudes on a shelf.

Global warming hinders global cooling , or didn't you know that;)

I'm sure you will get many to believe that nonsense above. All one has to do is do a search on here.
