Bought this cue from AZ'er Flipmo, Stand up guy, Good deal, No issues with cue at all....just a question, for a 72-80 Sideways Logo JW Shouldn't points be sharper? Don't think it's CNC...? Looking for some input any JW experts out there?View attachment 384332

Take a better picture, ha. I can see every vein in your hand but the cue is fuzzy in every shot.

Doesn't look like CNC, but it is blurry.

There are quite a few Sideways W's with CNC points out there. Probably made during the early CNC experimental phase. I think that was from 78'ish into the early 80's?

Thanks Guys, got my answer from Mr Stroud himself this morning, he said they were done by pantograph using a template.

Thats the same as CNC just manual. When did he say he made the cue?

Yes, there are some with CNC inlayed points with the sideways JW.

They are fewer by far.

HereWeGo...Wrong dates. My custom JW box cue was the very first cue Bill made, after the switch to CNC. That was summer of 1983.

He said it was made well before 1980....

It could have been made any time. He was using a pantograph that produces the same points before CNC. The same cue could have been made in 1901 with a pantograph.
