Guess what wood.

I'm with Eric then. Mango was my next guess. Sure could pass as koa...which mango often does.
 
I'll admit my late guess was a stained oak by the grain. I would be wrong as usual.:)

Is it better to send them to stabilization in round form ? I've always seen people with Stabilized Squares then turn round. Or does it not matter ? I would think round then stabilize would be better plus less waste.

Safer in square form.
Being round with holes get you better penetration .
And costs less.
The hole has to be undersized though.
 
To get better penetration I thought you needed bigger "wood"
