That makes a number of top guys going with Meucci now Max Eberle, Jayson Shaw, Sky Woodward and now Corey

I have heard the new Meucci low deflection shafts play really well.

check out Corey's video here https://www.facebook.com/606433769385801/videos/1088927601136413/

I love these silly threads lol Cory and sky play with it so it must be good! Haha no. Pool players are broke and will play with a Minnesota fats line of cues if Kmart would sponsor them to do so.

exactly this. I would just expand it to ALL pros, broke or not.

Lebron James was doing Kia commercials during the NBA finals....100% sure he doesn't own one.

Have you tried their new low deflection shafts ?

I have not got a chance to try one out yet

But i heard they play very good from more than one person.

I played with one of their Pro models at a booth in Vegas two years ago, had a pretty good feel, pretty different from the older Meucci's I played with years ago. Can't really say how much it deflected but it was close to the Players HXT shaft I was using at the time. They had Mike Massey in their booth for challenges and I borrowed one of their cues to use.

Like the others, I take pro endorsements with a grain of salt and a few shots of tequila.

If Jeanette used half of the stuff she's in ads for, she'd need a 4x8 case with an extra suitcase for accessories every time she went to play.

Terry, Thanks for posting, always like to hear what is
going on in the pool world. That sucks to hear that
Sky is broke, maybe we can start a fundraiser or
something.
Keep us posted.

Thanks, Carl

While it's nice to see Meucci making attempt to get back into the professional scene, I think all of their claims are crap. They make low quality, high cost cues.

Considering that meucci black dot cues back in 2006 and 2007 were falling apart with in 6 months and Bob denied warranty on a ton of those cues.
There will never another meucci cue in my pool case,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, never...............

If any wants problems like this then meucci is the cue for them....

Jayson shaw was pushing meucci very hard too the other day in a predator tourney.
I havent seen a player push a product that hard while commentating on a match.

He was saying pretty much the same things corey was in that fb video.

Dead nuts on the money.

did you play pool or baseball with that thing?? JEEZ!!! I hate their flat laminate shafts, horrendous shaft. unless you have that dot facing up, the cue will hit that ball all over the place. and their designs are pretty dated. the hude ring squrares, big veneers. hate them. but they are making moves into the pro scene, and jayson shaw has been unstoppable ever since he changed to meucci. whether its the cue or the man, when you have a cue you like you play better, thats undeniable. I recently played with a 25 year plus old meucci and it played real nice, not gonna lie, but the shaft was a nice one peice maple.

Phil Mickelson won his first Masters with Titleist irons and later switched to Callaway when they offered more money and Titleist wouldn't re-negotiate his endorsement deal. So, it's not just a pool thang.

My first two cues 20+ years ago were Meuccis, but simply don't like the look and feel of them after owning other cues since. That said, they seem to be putting their money where their mouths are in terms of supporting pro players and trying to grow the game, and that's something I can't hate on.

You make a good point...,

If they bring the quality of their cues back to where they once were then I think they should go after players. These cues were around long before many that are on the market now and I wish him lots of luck!

Sky is broke?? Well he's 20 years old, he should be! Keep having fun kid, the cash will come.

This is funny.

Alex, Corey, Thorsten, Mika, Deschaine, all these TOP TOP guys every year it seems jump ship to another company. We can find all the press realnesses if one was so inclined. From Predator, to Mezz, to Tiger, to OB, and now to Meucci.

It seems like Meucci has really lost its mass appeal in the past 20 yrs. This might be their way to try to get it back.
