Was bored today and looking at vintage Brunswick catalogs and documents. This one caught my attention. A 97 year old flyer about handicapped pool tournaments.

Wow, 97 years ago....
...now we need to date the first time the word 'sandbagger' was used.

Is this a tournament for 97 year olds that has a handicap system, a tournament that's been put on for 97 years for handicapped people, a tournament for 97 year old handicapped people, or a 97 year old flyer?

Good point.
If it's been put on for 97 years for handicapped people then my question is what do they do about handicapped parking? Do they stack cars on top of each other? I don't know.
Also. Did pt play in that tournament? If he did I'll bet it was his first one. He's only a kid.

Somebody was asking about an unidentified Brunswick cue a while back and I was trying to explain that it might have been one of these giveaway cues...I'm not sure if they matched OTC Brunswick cues...

We have a 99 year old man at our Senior Center that can still shoot straight.
He also plays checkers online.

I hope at 97 I can still checkhers

Agreed.
And, if our eyesight should fail us, braille would come in very handy (no pun intended).
Me: "Pardon me Miss, but those feel like a fine pair of cantaloupes you have there. Do you mind if I give them a thump to see if they're ripe?"
Her: "You're a dirty old man!"
Me: "That's right, sweetheart. And, I'm going to stay a dirty old man until I'm a dead old man." :D

Hey, Tramp....I hear you won a Stutz Bearcat after hours in that tournament...
...posing as a four.

I played so bad, even those old balls thought it was humorous....
...which naturally gave rise to the phrase " tickling the ivories."

It says that the free cue is a Style no. 20
I saw one for sale on Ebay the other day
