Victor, Go check out the 14.1 Ghost Practice in the 14.1 forum. We should incorporate it into our challenges. I posted an idea for the main forum in that thread. Let me know what you think.
Straight pool ghost, huh? Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm not much of a straight pool player though, so I'm wondering what we should set the +balls per miss number to, or if everyone should set their own number based on their skill. Maybe have several levels (+10, +20, +30, +40) and rankings within each level? How about the race, 100? 150? Any input from people who have tried this would be appreciated.
7-3 win 10-ball ghost. A little improvement. I snapped the 10 in once and couldn't remember if we were counting that or not. I would've spotted it but the layout was terrible and since I couldn't remember and had practically zero chance of getting out...I counted it. Vid is uploading. Same table.
I'm thinking a race to 100 with a +20 would be a good match.
So just to make sure of the rules:
- Ball-in-hand breakshot to start
- Run until you miss, foul, or reach 100 points (win!)
- After a miss/foul the ghost gets 20 points + the number of balls remaining on the table, then re-rack and set up a ball-in-hand breakshot
- Repeat until either you or the ghost gets to 100 points.
It might be too tough (i.e. me) or too easy for some, but you can still compete to get better score (I'll reconsider the scoring rule or add a tougher version if someone breaks the game with a 100-and-out).
Hopefully some of the straight pool guys will leave the comfort of their 14.1 subforum and join in, I'd love to see their videos.

I thought more about that 14.1 ghost and 20+remaining balls probably would be good "Official" ghost because it is real challenge for sure. Blackjack were saying at straight pool section he plays 42+ but little bit tighter tables(as many places have nowadays) your name should be Thorsten to beat that with regularity...![]()
Nice! I knew you could do it.I beat the ghost for the first time ever right now! 7-6! Video might take a few days, want to edit the dead space, otherwise its 1 hr long.
Selfie right afterwards with the coins on the table. I might just be a half decent pool player now
