I was hoping to see Josh Roberts among the list of players. Not that I think that he'd win, but I know him from a pool hall that he used to play out off in Jackson, MS (The Green Room). It's still surreal for me to see him playing with the best players in the country.

Solomon, I saw him for the first time in the U.S. open 10 ball when he came back in his opening match against Frost (or was it Hatch?). I was very impressed with him and look forward to watching him more. How old is he, do you know?

He has to be in his early 30's. I know that he's originally from SC and he spends/spent a lot of time playing for money in Jackson, MS and Atlanta, GA.

I was hoping that he would pick up more Mosconi Cup points at Turning Stone. Maybe he'll make to the Mosconi Cup Team in the next few years.

Darren, Justin Bergman, and Dennis Orcollo, Scott frost-welcome additions to the list of regular world beaters (shaw, shane, dechaine, morra, Thorsten, mika, deuel, etc) will make this turning stone very special. And the return of Dennis hatch, who had broken hand that sent him home early a year ago, and missed January turning stone (from what I recall). I'm looking for him to go into Sunday.

Notable names not there....

Justin Hall-with mosconi cup points on the line, I thought he was going to be there for sure

Earl-must have another tournament or something scheduled. Also thought he would be present.

Thanks for the list heads up, upstate al.
I'll be seeing you there for sure.

This is going to be a real special tournament...you have at least 5 or 6 favorites.

Will Shaw win 3 in a row? Hope to see it.

You have to be cheering for that. What an accomplishment it would be.
He has his work cut out for him with some big names added to the mix.

Thorsten is playing out of this world right now and hitting this tournament in stride.

This is the beauty of pool, it all comes down to the draw which is completely unpredictable. The suspense builds!

A special tournament indeed!

I'll be in attendance Thursday and Friday night's, all day/night Saturday, and Sunday afternoon. This is like my Superbowl weekend.

And three who are in the top 10 (Hall isn't) on the Mosconi Cup points list are not there: Woodward, Roberts, and Morris.

Woah, good call on that. Morris has been a regular there too.
This tournament fills up fast from what I hear. They might have been too late on the call.
