Lol, they hang that up at snookers there would only about 10 people in the place!

Like bdorman said, it's a generational thing.

And for the record, people that dress like that shows how much class they really have. And if you think I'm wrong,,,, flip off;)

How's Markley now? I haven't been there in several years, since the new owners took over.

Nice place. Nice crowd of players having fun. GoldCrowns and small Diamonds. A lot of tables have been recovered. Others are in decent condition. I met with AzB member Philly.

Morning Gold Crown. Good to meet up with you yesterday for a little 9 ball and one pocket action. You play a nice game. Next time we'll play a little longer. Yesterday was obviously a little hectic for me

Still the same owners minus one partner. They have cleaned the place up and are really emphasizing junior pool with a big push in that direction. I like that they open Sunday morning at 9am. Better than church. Sunday mornings is a friendly diverse crowd of regulars with a special rate from 9am till noon for 7 bucks.

You're a good family man. Leaving early to help out with your new grandson is the best distraction a person can have. Thanks for fitting some time in. Anyway being born and raised in Phila...our next match will be titled Philly vs Phila. You can break(1P). I enjoy returning the break.

ive seen this at my fav pool hall

but what do you do about the drunken idiot who routinely is poping balls off the table onto the tile floor
cackling like a hyena
shooting the balls has hard as he can each and every shot to prove a point of some sort with no skill in mind nor shape on the next ball
shape?! the damn things round aint it?
and playing obscene music

is there a point when the owners say enough and kick em out? or do they let them pump all the cash into the place they can

A standard of behavior and equipment Etiquette would be in order. Have a private talk(or call or email) with the owner or counter person.

Several years ago there was a thread on AZ about Gold Crown Billiards in Erie, PA concerning this very issue. The owner decided proper dress AND attitude were important factors in achieving long term business success. I've played there many times since and notice the crowd is still well dressed and behaved. There are still businesses who find some current dress offensive, If you don't like the dress rules, find another business who will cater to you. Simply, vote with your pocket book.

Any business owner or manager who allows such activity is looking for trouble. Wait till one of those bouncing billiard balls hits someone and does serious physical damage. The business is as responsible as the offending individual. Short term financial gain will surely be followed by long term loss. Simply, throw the bum out!

Maybe, or maybe they would have the same people but they would pull their pants up. Or maybe they would have more people if those people stopped showing up.
