whats the break rules at turning stone? and what break do you like?

At TS is the 9 on the spot or the 1?

and there is a break box correct?

looks like the soft cut break is the most consistent for me from what i seen however if the 1 is on the spot why arent people hitting square ish to make the wing ball?

Break box mostly eliminates the wired wing ball with the one on the spot. Opponent racking would have screw himself to wire that wing ball.

Standard Joss Tour rules apply here, I believe.
 
I like the racking and break rules at the Turning Stone. I know it's done for expediency, but there is too much rack your own in pool today. It's a nice change up. Also the break box with the 1 on the spot seems reasonable. I've seen mostly hard breaks and no wired balls.
 
Using a racking template, turn the rack 90 degrees with the 1-ball in the wingspot up front, 9-ball on the spot. Alternating breaks.

How so?

I've seen wing ball still go regularly breaking from diamond inside ??
