Lets be honest, Europe could have the top player from 5 different countries if they wanted. The European pool scene actually has an organized tour. I think we should reform into North America and let Alex P and John Morra play. Both players have way more international experience than anybody except Shane on the US side. John did well in China and Alex is arguable the most talented pool player alive. I'm willing to be that Shane, Alex, Morra, Corey, and _____ could beat Europe no problem.

Europe has Full House and beats 2 of a kind :D
But I like the idea cos at least it will be very close and worth watching and you cannot tell which is better team unless they play like 10 events

How do you seriously "not" put Albin Oschan on team Europe at this point? 2nd place in the world 9-ball championships? 1st place in the China Open?

But you put Ralf "sorry I gotta go catch a plane!" Souquet on the team instead?
 
1. It wouldn't help that much. The U.S. has players as good as Morra, Klatt, and Alex.
2. It would be a defeat. Everyone would know that we changed because we couldn't beat Europe by ourselves. How about let's work on US pool instead of expanding the countries.
 
As a canadian I would love to see something like this. Even if it is a different event to preserve the traditions of the mosconi cup.

Wrong, you have "a" player as good as Alex. 1 single player, SVB, that is the ONLY player in your entire country you have that is as good as Alex.

FargoRatings have SVB and Dechaine significantly in front of Alex; Bergman, Archer, & Morris are just one point behind (i.e., "as good as"). If you don't agree take it up with Fargo. :D

I dont care if they are playing jacks, MD has nowhere near the talent that Alex does and will lose in 10 ball, banks and one pocket and it wont even be close. Dechaine has a weak international resume and I repeat MORRA got second in the China Open. Fargo is also using ratings from the last two years right? Alex took most of last year playing snooker. Fargo has rated some beaters who have played in a few bca events and tournaments in the south as short stops lol. Gimme a break.

Alex is the only player who can hang with or beat shane gambling over multiple occasions.

Fargo ratings? Seriously? Do you actually think those ratings show the actual rankings of the players in regards to skill?
 
Mike's good but Alex is better. Shane is better than Alex in my opinion but I would take Alex over any other American.
 
Alright alright, I take it all back, and in penance I'll memorize O Canada (English and French of course) and buy a bottle of maple syrup.

Well.... Mosconi Cup is 9-Ball, and Mike can play 9 Ball well enough to beat anyone in short races.

If he plays well in the US Open,he absolutely deserves another shot.

A change is welcome for me. Going to an Americas team would be an improvement and bring in a larger viewing audience.
