identify cue?

This cue has no markings on it.
I did not post a picture of the shaft but it has a short ferrule.

I got just a little information from the owner today.
Of course he does not remember the makers name but did say he was rather unknown and only made cues for awhile.
And guesses?
I thought that the pin might be the key to identifying.
And it is for sale.

Ok, here's a guess...
One of a hundred or 3 relatively unknown makers of relatively indistinguishable cues.

But sometimes someone recognizes something about a cue and knows the maker.
