I saw hall running out at like 9 years old.....just know the kid since he was young and know that his game at mosconi spoke volumes......he looked like he was practicing, no nerves shown whatsoever![]()
Here is where I feel Justin is currently, and still improving swiftly. Justin is currently equal to Ko Chung in ability. But I feel he will surpass SVB's level within 2 more years as USA's #1 player and potentially the world. Justin is a future Hall of Famer. He has always had it in him and now he is going to prove it.
I'm fully aware of this.
But, Bergman was running racks at 9 years old as well.
Pretty sure the story goes that Bergman and Hall were dropped off at the poolhall when they were young teens by one of their mom's and the mom picked them up later that afternoon and they had a ton of cash.
They were both monsters at a young age and I would hate to bet against either one of them.
However, I am admittedly speaking from what I have seen from both of them as of late and I have seen a lot more of Justin Bergman than Justin Hall. I really wish Hall would play in more tournaments with streams and coverage because I really do enjoy watching him play.
I used to think you were crazy. Now I know it.
all I know is I hope mark Wilson is smart enough to bring the two monsters back this year![]()
AGREED!
From what I heard though, Mark is strictly using the Mosconi Points for the picks. We all know that the top 3 are automatically on the team, but I hear Mark is only taking the top 5 instead of top 3 and 2 wild cards.
that's a huge mistake.....have to have both Justin's on team......with svb, MD, and skyler......build the team with youth.......could possibly have morris for md but I am not crazy about the rocket's attitude
I like a team of SVB, Skyler, JB, JHall, but not sure who else could play. I don't think Dechaine would play well with the Mosconi Cup environment with everybody yelling and all the noise going on, same with Morris. I do think Morris could handle that better than Dechaine though.
Who knows!
Everybody said Shaw was the favorite too. They also said John Morra was the favorite. Dechaine is a great player, but I've never seen anything out of him to make me think he's a favorite against Bergman. He may break better, but I don't think he's a better shot maker, pattern player, or safety player. So I don't think you have to be a "nut hugger" to think Justin plays a little better than Dechaine. You have to be a "nut hugger" to think Dechaine has to win that match.
I'd like to see Shane Justin and Mike on the cup and hall
69-52 Justin looking good
I am right with you, I am struggling to find a really solid fifth.....I say keep the youth going to get them experience for the future.....
