Well to be fair some of your posts, including the one where you said you are in the skpetic/knocker camp seem to show a prejudicial slant.

People like Lou Figueroa called Stan a snake-oil salesman and even attacked his wife accusing her of fudging sales numbers when she stepped in to defend Stan's claims of how many he sold. These two people are salt-of-the-earth type people and didn't and don't deserve it. Stan should be sainted that he is still here after all the pure shit that has been flung in his direction. He can be forgiven for being somewhat touchy when it's not clear that someone is genuinely interested in giving CTE a fair shot.

I don't mind sending you something that you can easily buy for yourself.

I think that if you get it and you watch the YouTube stuff and you ask yoru questions not only of Stan, but of Bob Nunley, Mohrt, Neil, Dave Segal, Gerry Williams etc....all experienced CTE users then you will gain more insight that it not only works but also to understand how mechanical it is which leads to the precision IMO.

Blue highlight one: It is a sign of a good scientist or investigator to be skeptical. That doesn't mean there is a bias. (OK, there is always a bias, but not exactly the kind we are talking about).

Blue highlight two: Let's forget it, John. You send me a pm offering to send me a DVD as long as I send it back if don't want to keep it. I said, OK, great if you are that into it I'll give it a shot and I'll send it back after I'm done with it. Now, for the second time, you hang it around my neck like I'm mooching a DVD that I could easily buy myself, like I'm badgering you to send me a stupid DVD.

With all respect, John, you're too hot and cold. I just don't think my time would be well spent going deeper down the rabbit hole. If you've already mailed it out I'll return it unopened.

Stan - you can come out now.

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice...

Rick by definition you don't know what your subconscious is doing because then it is called consciousness.

In fact the highest state of being in many religions is a fully self-aware person who is 100% in the moment always.

John,

You got it.

So CTEers can NOT say that there is no subjective subconscious or subconscious subjectivity involved when they are aiming & aligning the cue using CTE.

Do like Neil suggests & do the steps for shots 1 - 5 with no 'want or desire' to pocket the balls but merely to just test the method... objectively.

That is what has been done by, myself, Anthony, I think Satorie & Dan & others.

CTE & ETA with the defined pivot yields one outcome angle when performed... objectively. There has been no objective instructions on how to get any specific variation from that outcome angle other than to 'move or rotate until one sees the proper 'perception' for the shot.

By definition perception is subjective. What Gerry sees as the 'proper' perception for the shot is not what you see as the 'proper' perception for the shot or what TonyTheTiger sees as the 'proper' perception for the shot.

There has been nothing defined that can objectively change the simultaneous viewing of the CTE & ETA lines that would then yield a different line nor a different outcome angle.

Best Wishes.

I've done the 5 shots and they objectively go in.
The cte guy in your pool hall did them and the first 4 went perfectly. The fifth took a few attempts, but no one is perfect.
Everything has been defined you just aren't comprehending it correctly.

Do you have an alternate theory?

Suddenly that was a theory and not proof as you folks have been claiming it to be? Dictionaries are your friend.

Another in the long line of clueless statements from you.

Sure, bub. Gone pro lately? Still waiting. How about that jb? He's improved like 20 balls in the last few years. Where did that apa6 engineer go? How about the others that have popped in over the years?

Let's hear your best JB impression of how good you've gotten.

Then PLEASE explain how so... in a rational logically complete fashion without breaking the laws of any science.

To whom are you referring? I know of no such individual in the pool hall that I frequent.

Please give me a link where it has been explained in totally objective means accounting for getting 5 different outcome angles from the SAME objective viewing of the two objective lines simultaneously that puts one in one & ONLY one location for such viewing & please do NOT make that link to Stan's You Tube video on perception with those 5 shots because there is NO objective explanation there other than 'move or rotate until you see it' & THAT IS NOT OBJECTIVE.

Best Wishes.

So there are no steps given how to do that, except for the steps given. Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. Of course it doesn't work when you purposely leave out steps.

As to whether or not that step is objective or subjective, I would say objective and have given the reason in the past which you also ignored. But, it doesn't matter which is really is.

So, again, you have nothing.

How about this. Take the 5 shot video.
The first shot you should at least be able to admit can be made with a ctel and edge to A alignment with a half tip pivot. You wont admit it but at least it is very close.
Now assuming you are right and our subconscious takes over the second shot would be about a 3/4 diamond adjustment by your subconscious after you are down on the shot. Remember we pick up our visuals and go down with a half tip pivot. That would be a pretty good adjustment by our subconscious to make that shot.
Now take the fifth shot and tell me, and remember I am using the same visuals, exactly how my subconscious makes a 3 diamond adjustment while I am down on the shot at center cue ball.

No you got it wrong. I meant that I see no problem sending you the DVD even if Stan prefers I didn't because it is easily available. I am not in the least scared of what you will do with it.

The request to send it back was made as I told you so that I could pass it on to someone who could use if you didn't find it useful.

Is this really the problem?

Is it ALL due to total misunderstandings &/or mis-communications?

Or is it that some are so disingenuous that they will say or do anything to confuse the issue?

Who EVER said that the subjective subconscious influence only comes into play once one is down on the shot?

It seems that it is as I have been saying about some others.

Some of you do not even know what the issue is that you so vehemently stand on one side.

It is in the standing position, when one is garnering the line from which one will ultimately shoot... or rather the line from where the pivot from a parallel line, IS WHERE the subjectivity comes into play. That is not to say that it can not also come into play during the stroke as Dan's analysis rather indicated.

It's also like Dan sort of said, there seems to be a constant 'bait & switch' going on in the 'discussion' by the CTE side & I would not be shocked if it is intentionally just that.

Are you & Neil brothers or cousins or something?

Best Wishes.

Neil,

You continually show that you have no idea of what you're NOT talking about.

Also you have no idea of how foolish that makes you appear.

Best Wishes.

Yeah, that's why the actual CTE users keep saying the same things, and you think it's some kind of conspiracy because we all agree. ;)

Sorry that you either have comprehension or memory issues that cause you to continually distort the truth of matters.

Unless you are part of that possible 'discussion retardant conspiracy of ignore, deny, change the subject, talk around, etc. that CTE users seem to almost all have in common.

Best Wishes.

Just got to love how you take everything you do and then accuse others of doing it. Typical.

Before the day really begins, let me state the following:

Anyone that is considering buying & trying CTE should certainly do so but should understand that the assertion that it is an 'objective aiming "system''' at it's core has not been proven nor 'convincingly' unproven to some & is a point of much contention by myself & some others.

If that is not an issue for consideration then have at it.
