I hope that is spelled right.

Don was a very respected player up here in the NW, in his later years, especially 1 pocket.

I personally did not know him as well as I wished I did, and just recently heard about it.

He was definitely old school, I have heard some cool stories.

Also, my impression was he had played all over in his younger days. I thought maybe some people here might have known him.

They had a wake for him at Malarkey's in Tacoma, Wa. a couple of weeks ago, and I heard there was quite a turn-out.

Good bye Don.

I remember Don from when he traveled with his wife playing pool. He was a good
all around player and a little eccentric. RIP Seattle Don:thumbup:

Don Ackerlow(sp) used to have a couple of videos of him playing on his website , seemed he was playing Glenn Atwood all the time . RIP Don.

Any one heard from Glenn Atwood lately ? Think he had a heart attack so maybe he slowed down .

You mean Glenn Atwell? If so, haven't heard about him playing in the PNW lately.

Sorry to read about Don..

Dont quote me on this, but I think I heard Atwell was in the Colorado area. Could be wrong about the state, but it was midwest somewhere.

Last i heard, he was in Kansas or something out that way.

I had seen Don play at a few of the regional events and he was strong enough to be playing and beating the best around here, that's for sure. Very unassuming guy with an incredible game.
