Congratulations to Albin Ouschan He makes Team Europe Mosconi Cup

Sky Woodward took out Yu Lung Chang on the A-Side of the US Open this year, it was not too long ago that Yu Lung Chang was the number 1 ranked player in the world.

Sky I think would be a phenomenal teammate and Sky and Bergman would be an awesome combo to send out into double battle as they have been playing a lot of challenge matches as doubles partners already and been very effective as a duo.

I also think Sky showed a lot of heart and a lot of skill when he came back from 10-6 down to beat Imran Majid in the first round 11-10.

The team I would be sending this year would be

SVB
Dechaine
Bergman
Deuel
Woodward

That is the current top 5 guys on the list, but that is also the 5 guys that I think you can mesh well into doubles teams and keep the chemistry high.

FWIW Deuel and Dechaine are also very strong doubles partners and beat Efren and Busty in an 8-ball challenge match. Deuel's calm composed style helped temper Dechaine's intense focus and they proved to be a VERY effective team.

Seems like a lot of people want to pick their favorite players for a free roll into the Mosconi Cup without any recent credentials. Many people are picking Morris, Archer, and Scott. How? I admire Rodney and Archer's game, as well as Scott, but they have done nothing on the 9 foot 9 ball scene this year compared to our young guns.

Well Scott Frost was 6th on the list of Mosconi Cup points going into the US Open.

I like the list, but I'm still holding out hopes for Justin Hall to do well in the US Open. He had easily the best record at last year's Mosconi Cup, and just didn't play in several of the points events earlier in the year.

and just didn't play in several of the points events earlier in the year.

I think like Mark Wilson said above that you should reward the active players who are out there competing on a regular basis. Not only because they are "earning" it but also because that regular competition is what helps battle harden these players to actually be able to compete in an event with the type of pressure that the Mosconi Cup puts out there.

Hall chose not to play in the points events, he knew what was at stake. Just because you played well last year does not give you a free pass to slack off and skip pro events and get into the event the next year.

Well Scott Frost was 6th on the list of Mosconi Cup points going into the US Open.

Most or almost all of those points were from bar table events. I repeat, please list his recent 9-Ball accomplishments on 9 footers. All I can remember is he came like 9th at the DCC 9 ball.

Based on what Mark said about how he will make his picks and the way the points are playing out in the US Open i think there is a VERY high chance that this will be Team USA.

knowing the future

Mike Dechaine is as good as shane wft are you people talking about. Have you ever watched him play? All he does is win. He never misses.

Woodward is the one that's going to kill us if he makes it. He dosent have the game and the pressure will melt him. Look at his us open play. His outs are awful cue ball control very sloppy. Safety game below par. He will not preform on the world's biggest stage against top talent.

Do you use a crystal ball or tarot cards to tell the future? Why not just tell us who will win the Mosconi Cup and we won't have to watch it?

I'm predicting that halfway through the Mosconi Cup, Shane will decide to quit the team and join the pro golf tour. See how silly predicting the future can be?

Skyler Woodward could just as easily be the Mosconi Cup MVP as "kill" the US team...

No I'm just that smart. And your wrong about your mvp comment. Maybe in 3 years sky will be ready. But not now. I think he's a great kid, great player just not even close to a top 5 usa player.

Please USA whatever you do don't let Mike Dechaine play in the team for next couple years until USA win some more titles or he is really stepped up his game (such as convincingly beaten SVB), right now Mr. Mike aka weak-mental or always-screwed-up-important-moments-over-an-easy-shot can't play seriously LOL.

I was right once again, Mr. Mike Dechaine did it again
