G10 glue question

I always use 5 in epoxy For G10 ferrules and combos........ they are threaded and I have never had a problem..

For break tips I use CA but I pin them on the ferrule or they have a tendency to pop off.

Devcon or B.S.I 5 minutes epoxy for gluing on threaded ferrules. Loctite 401 for all break tips except Samsara, I use 5 min epoxy for those.
I find G10 to hold glue quite well.

What's the hurry? It's a break cue. Use the better epoxy.

After I glue a break tip on the ferrule, I drill it about 1 inch deep with a 1/8 in drill. Then I glue in a 1/8 in phenolic rod to pin the tip. This is so an off center hit will not shear the glue bond. I have never had a break tip pop off after I started doing this.

Simular methods were done years ago and introduced on this forum using leather. Then Tiger products adopted it for their break tip.

I tried several approaches to the tip popping off problem and I settled on this one because it's cheap and easy............ and I have never had a tip pop off using this method.........
