jack justis 2 x 4 pro lite being refurbished

jack justis 2 x 4 pro lite, began to work with it last month.
very nice leather, soft and thick, pulled tube out, washed the liner,
installed 6 layers of hat ragg wool in bottom (1/2 inch total compressed to 3/8ths inch).
and plenty of professwional leather conditioner.

the ragg wool developed 1/2 inch thickness, after inserting the oval poly
tube with liner, wool compressed to 3/8ths inch.

i added a little minwax oil stain to the underside, turned out nice.

didn't spend a buck, took case apart, washed liner by hand,
had oil and conditioner on shelf.
leather worked itself, actually absorbed everything i threw at it, gave it a rub.
like aladdin's lamp :wink:

the davis blank showing in my signature will be among the new inhabitants of my justis case.

time is noon, sun is directly on top of the case, i'm using a polarize filter, every blemish is showing.
when looking at the justis case in plain daylight and right in front of you, none of the blotchy appearance shows.
for now, it's in closet with a couple of customs in it, i'm super happy with it.

Fiirst of all, these are great pictures! I love this style of case with very minimalist tooling.The leather is gorgeous. Let me know if you are ever thinking of letting it go...

My Ron Tomas hair on cow case might disagree with your cowboy comment though :wink:
