Much appreciated:grin-square:

Chua breaks and makes a ball, left with a steep cut on the 1. Makes it, but slightly awkward on the 2 as the cueball comes to rest on the side rail. Pockets it, runs into the eight-ball and gets solid position on the 3. Continues to run out, runs into the 7 getting shape on the 5, has to bank cross side, gets solid position on the 6. Gets out without further ado, up 5-1.

Solid break by Chua, CB hops back and stops mid-table, making 2 balls on the break. Slightly tricking on the 1, makes a steep cut and is long but almost straight on the 2. Gets a wider angle than he likes on the 3, and the CB drifts long getting position on the 5. Opts to try cutting it in, and overcuts it, leaving it close to but not frozen to the pocket point. Shane cuts it in and gets out, now trails 2-5. He had almost the same 10 ball angle as his previous miss, no trouble this time.

Chua elects to take a break and Shane goes into practice mode.

Chua returns from a short break, Shane breaks and gets a lot of motion but it's a dry break, and Chua has a full look at the 1.

There's no easy pocket for the 1, but the 3 is close to the pocket it is blocking. Chua attempts a 1-3 cut combination and misses it, leaving the 1-3 lined up perfect. The only pause Shane had in running out was to study the 6 to the 7, as the 7 was close to the point of a side pocket. The score is tightening up, Shane now trails 3-5.

Shane breaks, making the 5 and has a good look at the 1. 3 to the 4 is tricky because the 4 is near the 2 diamond of the far end rail, Shane draws up, frozen to the side rail with a bit of a shallow angle on the 4. Makes it, runs into the 7 and is full hooked behind it. (CB, 7, and 6 are almost lined up going down the long rail)

Shane pulls out his jump cue and nearly spears the 6 in - just catches the rail a little before the pocket. Chua takes his time looking over the 6 as he's a little funny on angle, then blasts it in forcing the ball across the width of the table and back, but is still awkward on the 7. Almost has a spot shot on the 8, plays a firm draw shot on it to avoid a scratch, but catches the rail in such a way to leave him near the end rail and long on the 9 which is up-table in the kitchen. He confidently makes the 9, gets solid shape on the 10 and makes it 6-3.

Chua breaks firmly, makes 3 balls but is left a long cut on the 1-ball. Rolls it in and has no further problems this rack to get out and make it 7-3.

Chua breaks, making a single ball, has a full look at the 1 again, but the CB is very close to it. Plays a safety sending the 1 to the middle of the table leaving Shane apparently frozen to the 7 and near frozen to the end rail on the other side, so the ref comes over to watch Shane's hit.

Shane plays into the end rail, and misses his 2 rail kick from a challenging position. With no clusters or balls frozen to rails, Chua gets out fairly easily to make it 8-3.

Chua has a solid lead at this point, but he doesn't appear happy with his position play and has gotten out of shape a few times.

Chua plays a more forceful break this time, making 2 balls and is left with a steep cut on the 2. The 2 is pocketed, gets decent shape on the 3, and then plays an inside english shot on the 4 which is frozen to the rail, and overcooks it. Faced with a steep short-side cut shot on the 6, he makes the delicate cut and gets down-table for the 7. The rest is textbook..but wait, he hangs up the 10 ball and the score is now Shane trailing 4-8, when it should've been Chua 9-3.

There was an audible gasp from the audience when Chua missed the 10.

Shane eager to break again, makes balls in both side pockets and has a good but long look at the 1. Getting shape on the 2 is a difficult affair as it is on the other end of the table near the rack area.

Shane plays a shot I didn't expect, attempting a crossover bank on the 1, which falls short, and the CB hits another ball to leave Chua on the same end of the table. He also has his work cut out for him in getting to the 2. He makes the 2, playing 4 rail shape with inside english to the 2, and Shane bumps the floor with his cue to show acknowledgement of a shot well done. The rack has been made slightly more difficult as his shot on the 2 bumped the eight next to the rail about an inch and a half from a side pocket.

Chua attempts to bump the 8 on the way to the 7, doesn't get the bump and ends up steep on the 7. He cuts the 7 in, goes back and forth across the table to get a roughly 45 degree shot on the 8 and cuts it down the rail and in. Chua pockets the 10 with a long cut, making it look easy to go up 9-4 in this race to 11.

Another solid break from Chua, pocketing 2. This rack lays very easy, but Chua starts getting a little off line before the 6 and has to hit a couple recovery shots. Gets straight on the 8 to play it in the side and draw back for the 9 which was the only ball near a rail. Gets almost straight in, draws back for decent shape on the 10. Chua clearly takes a moment to compose himself, then makes the 10 to get to the hill, 10-4.

At 8-4, Why did Shane play bank on 1 ? Instead of taking long cut on 2
Excellent 1 to 2 by Johan
This is the match winning rack

Chua makes a single ball on the break in a side pocket, and has to try swerving the cue a little to make it and get shape on the 2. Misses the shot, leaving Shane a look at the 1, but he'll be shooting it down the table away from the 2 with the CB close to the end rail.

Shane has a slightly tricky first few balls but gets out to make the score Shane 5 Chua 10.

Wow Chua plays like a taiwanese with a lot of center ball, minimizes the use of english - rock solid game except for the 10 ball missed. Shane needs a 6-pack now.

Shane makes 2 balls on the break (5 and 7) but the CB gets kissed hard, going up and back down the table leaving him a long cut on the 1. Makes it, falling into line on the 3, which he has to play delicately to avoid bumping the 6 which is nearby on the route to the 4.

Shane has to study the table for a bit before pocketing the 4 as he was going to come close to a scratch in order to make it and get position on the 6 - which he does successfully. Shane completes his break and run to make the score 6-10.

Shane to break, and seems to take a little extra time looking at the rack. He's breaking from roughly the opposite position from Chua I've observed. Just misses making 3 different balls on the break, breaks dry.

Chua comes to the table with a good look at the 1, but basically no shot. he plays safe, using the rakes to play the cue 3 rails to just in front of a far corner pocket, and appears to freeze the 1 to the back of the 8-ball.

Shane jacks up and swerves around a couple balls to execute a successful kick, and Chua is looking at another tough 1-ball shot. This time he cuts it right in, but hooks himself behind the 4-ball. Chua gets his jump cue and makes an excellent shot on the 2 which was near the side rail, and has shape on the 3.

The only problem I see is the annoying background music.

Chua gives himself a good angle on the 5 to get on the 6, but on making the 5 leaves himself a little awkward as he has to bridge over the 8 and 9 which are in close proximity to a side-pocket. After evaluating it, he fetches the rake, but placing the rake is also difficult. He rolls the 6 in, and the only challenge left is getting from the 7 to the 8, as he fell a little on the wrong side of the 7.

Chua makes the 7, follows forward and across the table, bumps the 9 into the 8, and gets a great roll as he doesn't jam it up. Finishes it to win 11-6.

I think Chuan got lucky on the 8-ball...I doubt that he wanted to touch the nine.
...thought he might put a hair of right on the seven and stay to the other side.....
....or left english and come past the nine.

Beautiful style this Johann has...nice to watch.
